Twin Draft Guard = Stoner’s BFF

I just saw this infomercial so forgive me if you’ve already seen it but I immediately thought of my days living in the dorms as a freshman. My roommate Justin and I would conjure up various ways to keep in our dope smoke without alerting the RA of our nefarious ways. Maybe it’s the booze talking but I thought I’d share.

For $20 you can get two Twin Draft Guards and a bonus over the door hook. That’s a $30 value, but you only pay 20 bucks!

Happy New Year!

  • …forgive me if you’ve already seen it…

But, “have you ever seen the Twin Draft Guards…on weed?”

  • Thank you for sharing this.

  • I had a (singular) draft guard while going to school in Beantown. Would have loved to have this. Always had to kick the single draft guard back in place and it eventually breaks open and sand goes everywhere.
My apt. was in the lobby of the building and people were none too pleased to come home from work and walk into my plume of weed smoke. (some people…..)

  • I have tried calling these people but I get disaconnected everytime I call if I dont order another one. I need to return these I got as my doors are too high off the floor to the bedrooms and they dont work. Anyone who can help me reach a live person or give me an e-mail to contact them I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Kathy

  • This is funny ! I called the Twin Draft Guard customer service number and asked for an e-mail address and was told there isn’t one. I liked the commercials background music so I asked if they could tell me the name of it. They said they would look it up and call me back. Later I went back to the internet site to listen to the commercials music again but found a “LOCK” had blocked the sound from my computer – the commercial is SILENT. They Must get a lot of complaints to do that. Tells me something about their product.

  • Does anyone know the name of the background music in the Twin Draft Guard infomercial.
Please, please send the name here.
I had called and asked them directly but I don’t expect an answer -[ refer to the last comment that I left.]
I CAN still listen to the Twin Draft Guard – You Tube video – above.

    • The song is by the who and I’m not sure of the exact title of the song but it’s something like “Let my love open the door to your heart.”

      • Karen, you sweet thing ! Good job ! Thank you for the info. How did you know that?
I have been researching this [ obsessed] and came across the following site, which lists music in commercials [ and more] But it doen’t list the TwinDraftGuard com.- yet ] http://www.jacobsmedia.com/crxx/tvspots.htm
Maybe they can find out the name of the group performing the music in the commercial.
I am also trying to find out where I heard it. Evidently the song has been used frequently in films, TV series, [about 10] and on 4 cd’s, at least.
Wikipedia has a good list of the films. Thanks again, hug, hug.

        • This is actually Pete Townshend, not The Who, from his album “Empty Glass” which I think was his first solo release in the early 80’s. The title is “Let My Love Open The Door”. I own this on vinyl. This is a great album and has withstood the test of time adn verifies my sexagenarian status.

  • Hello Mady,
    Exactly, there IS a distinction.
Below is a site which lists his credits and also has various links to learn [or review] info about Pete Townshend.
    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0870228/
Warren Miller- from Glide Magazine, says the song has “permeated” movies, CD’s and TV commercials. [ plural] Have you ever heard the Twin Draft Guard version of that song anywhere else? “sexagenarian” ?? Thanks, Mady
