  I gave them info and The key they emailed me activated parrallels – the about sections says:

  “This is an active copy of Parrallels Workstation. It is licensed to (me), student”

  Does not work with 64-bit Windows. They did not make that clear on their website. So, no virtual Linux for me.

  Remember to give virtualbox a try. It is free and open source and runs everything I have thrown at it thus far.
