Yellowsn0w, the illustrious iPhone 3G unlocking software, dropped with the Times Square Ball yesterday, but the first beta edition didn’t work for many. Hopefully the updated 0.9.4 beta from the iPhone Dev Team should resolve those issues and allow all those Jesusphone 3Gs to be released from their AT&T shackles. So if our step-by-step guide left you frustrated and furious, give it another go with the updated software.

Has anyone had luck buying a 3G iPhone without a contract recently?
I just tried at the Apple Store in Southdale mall (MN) and a nice, helpful sales rep told me that they will not sell an iPhone without a contract. He said that the only way I could get it would be to buy it *with* the contract and then cancel the contract.
until a few weeks ago, you couldn’t get them without a 2 year agreement, but now you can purchase them for $599/$699 (8g/16g) pricing from any At&t COR store, and more than likely from Apple locations as well.
I’ve tried using this guide to unlock my iPhone 3G but now I can’t get any signal on T-Mobile, anyone else had this problem or know how to fix?
Has anyone had any success unlocking this phone? I had updated this phone to 2.2.1 and then downgraded it back to 2.2 (yes there is a solution to the downgrade!!)
Either way, I can’t get yellowsn0w to unlock my phone. I’m on Tmobile and still can’t get it to work.. has anyone had any success? please let me know..

i decided to buy a only iphone 3g device from usa for $99 as it fits my budget ,But I’m in big confuse,that is as follows.i wish to use it in INDIA.if so can i use it in india with a indian gsm sim.if not what about unlocking the device?if it can unlock,is it completely works?.is unlocking the device is easy for normal person himself?
