We just wrote up Casio’s press conference, where they announced the shrinkage of their excellent high-speed Exilim camera line. You can see some details here, but the video of that other thing is just as interesting. But not necessarily in a good way. Yes, it is the year 2009 and a powerful technology executive is getting excited about animated greeting cards. I like the camera, guys, but…

Wow, that is some weak video. We’ll have cooler stuff tomorrow when we get our hands all over everything.

  • I actually think this is kinda cool. A lot of folks are just saying “this is just green-screen” but it looks very good and does not seem to need a particular background, so it’s a lot more consumer friendly. I’m not sure what I’d use it for, but “the street finds its own uses for things” and it could be interesting to see what people do with it, if it catches on.

  • dont really give a rats ass bout the composite thing, but a 1000fps 30fps vid/still camera in a tiny P&S body – now that is pretty f’n sweet.
