More products rolling off the CES 2009 assembly line, this time from Vizio – and they’re not super slim televisions! The VSB210WS is a soundbar with wireless subwoofer, and the VBR100 is a Blu-Ray player. Both are priced at $199, and should be appealing to budget-conscious consumers.
VSB210WS Sound bar and Wireless Subwoofer
VIZIO’s new Sound bar and Wireless Subwoofer (VSB210WS) delivers a high performance surround sound experience without the mess or clutter of multiple speakers. The VSB210WS uses four 3″ high efficiency mid/bass drivers and dual 3/4″ high performance aluminum dome neodymium tweeter. With a total harmonic distortion of less than .01%, the VSB210WS features SRS TruSurround (TM) for immersive surround sound and is one of the first products to utilize SRS Labs’ TruVolume (TM), which prevents extreme volume fluctuations when changing channels or watching commercials. With its elegant piano black finish and subtle chrome accents VIZIO has designed one of the world’s most stylish Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer solutions on the market today. The VSB210WS comes equipped with a hybrid tabletop stand and wall mount bracket providing consumers the ultimate installation flexibility.
The advanced 2.4GHz Wireless Subwoofer is outfitted with a long throw 6.5″ woofer providing bass response that extends from 35Hz up to 80Hz. The Auto Sync function ensures the subwoofer connects wirelessly to the Sound Bar for convenient plug and play operation. Only a single cable is required to connect the VSB210WS to any flat panel TV.
The VIZIO VSB210WS Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer will be available in February 2009, selling for an MSRP of $349.99. The VIZIO VSB210 (without the wireless subwoofer) will sell for an MSRP of $199.99, starting in April 2009.

$200 Blu-Ray sounds pretty good to me. Might just have to get one, depending on the reviews. The problem with all these early cheap devices is that they seem to be still working the bugs out with the more advanced features, unlike the cheap DVD players which are practically all the same these days.
I’ve just receieved a Vizio 32″ plazma and It’s a great deal for the money I paid via walmart. The HD picture through the hdmi connector is great as well as the svga/rgb connector that i hooked up the computer to (wireless config). It even displays the analog signals well. The sound is only missing one thing – Bass ! so the sound bar would fix that issue is sounds like. Can’t wait to see the reviews as well. I’ve been looking at other sound bar setups since this is just for the master bdrm. I don’t expect it to be as good as the Surround system we have down in the living room of course. I was watching a movie tonight and the midrange and tweeter sounds actually aren’t bad at all considering they’re just 10watts per channel spearkers. The VP322 has a Optical audio out and RCA left/right out as well so even if the sound bar has a coax digital in I can get an adapter for that. Why are all these places using coax for audio in rather than optical ? I don’t get it. Maybe someone here can splain this to me ?
The TV also has the ability to turn the speakers on or off as well. Once I get a sound bar of some flavor I’ll have to play around with that I guess. Some of the sound bars have a built in dvd player and FM tuner which is great. Not sure what the Amps are like yet. I need to listen to them some where first before buying online. Unless they don’t offer them in a store of course. Anyone know what stores – online or retail store, are going to be caring this new Vizio Sound Bar ? I have searched but noting has come up yet. Since it ’s getting close to February you’d think that much would be out.
$199.00 with a wireless subwoofer? That seems like a great deal. I cant wait to hear it. I mean, it’s not going to be one of most loud subwoofers, or even the biggest subwoofer, nevertheless, for a couple of c notes you get all the audio repruduction you’ll ever need.

Culture shoq is my most reliable source of information regarding all things “trendy”. When I saw that it highly praised Vizio’s Soundbar, http://cultureshoq.com/?s=vizio, I went ahead and ordered it and can’t wait to receive it.
