For those of you who are tired of playing first-person shooter after first-person shooter, may I recommend Crayon Physics Deluxe for the iPhone (and iPod touch) and PC? It’s probably the best $5 (iPhone) or $20 (PC) you’ll spend today. Here’s the iTunes link.
The game, which won the grand prize at the 2008 Independent Games Festival, is, at heart, a puzzle game. You draw on the screen and the game turns your doodles into in-game objects, susceptible to physics and manipulation. This video shows it better than I’d ever be able to describe it.
And to think, just a few hours ago I cast doubt on the iPhone being a fun gaming platform. I’d sooner play this than the same damn FPS over and over again.

While the game looks fantastic, is the soothing nature in the forest soundtrack part of the game, or just part of the video? It seems like it could kinda wear a little thin after any reasonable period of time…?
wow, magic
