Novatel’s MiFi is one slick puppy. The CG crew got a hands on and we’re pretty excited to get some for review. It’s a perfect solution for live blogging events when the Wi-Fi network is slammed with hundreds of other folks vying for bandwidth. It will accommodate up to five separate connections. The folks at Novatel also informed us that there will be three versions: CDMA, GSM for North America and a GSM model for the global market. What they couldn’t tell us was whether or not everyone accessing the router would be able to access the data that’s stored on the microSD card. We’ll have to wait and see.
We speed tested the device so hit the jump to see how well it did.

Jump?
What jump?
Where is the rest of this article?
Technical difficulties with our photo gallery. It’s fixed now.
Thanks!
MiFi sounds kinda dirty
I like it
I’ve been using the Cradlepoint for a few months now http://www.cradlepoint.com/products/phs300-personal-wifi-hotspot
It’s awesome. The flexibility of the cradlepoint I think is a bit better. I take my USB 727 novatel verizon evdo stick and either use it directly on my notebook, or when I want to share, put it into the cradlepoint. Albeit the battery is about 1-2 hours, but I got an extra battery for about $10 on ebay.
This also has a power adapter, and you can get a cigarette adapter for the car as well.
waiting on that jump.
