Personally, I think he should get a dedicated Blackberry for Presidential Uses (including games - breaks from stress have been shown to be beneficial to health and well-being). He should probably also have a personal BB for those purposes. Every military Commander (COLs and GENs included) I've worked with has a military issued Blackberry - if its secure enough for a 4-Star, surely it can be made secure enough for the President. The issue to me is that the blackberry he's used to is not up to the rigors required by a head of state. There's very little that the blackberry can do that can't be done more securely via an encrypted and hardened laptop. Yes, it's less convenient for the president, but his safety and the value of information that he's accessing trump that in my opinion. I'd be interested to know how things like personal phone calls and e-mails are currently handled. The issue of games or his IM or SMS conversations are trivial.
