Sony’s new subnotebook Vaio P does look like a neat little machine but several official promo shots of the device triggered a wave of mockery in the blogosphere of its home country Japan.
The problem is that Sony thinks the Vaio P fits in the back pocket of your pants. But that’s not really the case.
The following pictures were made and put online by some Japanese anti-Sony geeks as an answer.

A Thinkpad doesn’t fit in a back pocket.

Neither does a Mac.

No chance at all with this Dell tower.

Well, in Japan of course it wouldn’t ft. But in the good ol’ USA we’re all so corpulent, an Easy-Bake oven will now fit in our back pockets.
Huh huh durr because I said Americans are fat durr I’m so post-modern and self-aware and funny!
Of course it won’t fit into exceptionally tight pants of a very thin, attractive female model.
On the other hand, looking at the baggy jeans on these guys, they’d have no problem sliding it in their pockets ironically.
Great marketing. Great bum!
Really though, who would carry a small PC in their back pocket? …not in the US at least, unless you want to know LoJack for Laptops works, or need an excuse to buy a new computer. While not being the BEST computer out there, Sony has created something innovative and revolutionary, a small-form factor computer that will stand out from all the others, something that can accomplish a lot while only weighing about a pound and a half.
“Revolutionary”? No need to play “spot the fanboy” here.
i love sony…
This reminded me of all those fantastic n-gage parody shots:
