I just got back from a run to Costco (Redwood City) and took a quick spin through the electronics section and spotted this deal on the D90. Well, I think it’s worthy of a CrunchDeal since I haven’t come across this specific combo at a comparable price on the Web. In any case, Costco is offering the D90 with two lenses (18-55mm & 55-200mm) for $1400 with a $100 MIR dropping it down to $1300. I want to say that the MIR offer ends at the end of the month, but the iPhone didn’t seem to capture that part very clearly. You may want to call and see if your local Costco is offering the same deal.

So are you going to upgrade then?
I wish.
I second that wish… though the D40 I won from you guys two years ago is still creating some amazing photography for me! Thanks again guys!

Great camera. Mixed reviews on the lenses, but I’m betting they would do just fine. If you’re anxious to spend that tax refund, Costco has a 90 day return on cameras so why not?
Not the best deal in the world. JR.com has the D90 with 18-105mm for $1,099.28. You can pick up the 55-200M for $170 and still not pay tax.
There you have it. JR is 30 bucks cheaper and you don’t have to pay tax.
my wife just picked this up. you can also get an extended 2yr warrenty on the camera through Nikon for $129.99.
the 55-200 on jr.com is actually $209.
