Remember this video from last April? The video featuring a Springsteen-like band singing about Windows Vista? We all watched, jaws on the floor, for three minutes and two seconds, each of us wondering if another video would ever come along to make this one go away.
Well here’s the promo video for Microsoft Songsmith, which not only features atrocious acting but incredibly abrasive singing. Best of all, it’s almost four and a half minutes long, which makes the Springsteen thing more appealing than ever before. Please enjoy with my compliments.

That was by far, the worst video I have ever seen. Microsoft should be disgusted with themselves.
Did anybody bother to read the disclaimer? Meant for those who signs in the shower. So it means even thought your voice might be horrible you can make music so therefore the software does it’s job. Sounds good to me, at least for those aspiring singers that would be even boo in their showers. So people stop the Microsoft Hating and relax, i think it was corny but c’mon.
It seems like it actually be a pretty cool program – especially for kids. But that video is absolutely terrible and I can’t imagine anyone actually downloading it after watching that. They say that any press is good press, but I have to disagree after seeing this.
i hope the internet keeps track of “what ever happened to?” the blond singing girl in the video.
I’m pretty sure she shot herself shortly after the making of this video.

You know they seem like nice enough guys and they are probably good at what they do, but why wouldn’t they find actors (who are good at what they do) to make a promotional video….?

Seriously though, this is nowhere near the worst promo vid/advert I’ve seen. Most of the crap on TV is as bad, if not worse, than this.
