Here's a great tip for XP stalwarts (me!) who want to enjoy Windows 7's robustness while maintaining some UI familiarity: You can disable Win7's taskbar app stacking and icon-only appearance by right clicking on a blank space in the taskbar and hitting "properties." Change the "Always combine, hide labels" dropdown on the taskbar tab to "never combine." This will make running tasks appear as they do in Vista and XP.
