The original Transformers movie was obnoxiously filled with shiny General Motor’s rides and it seems that theme will continue in the sequel. The latest GM wunderkind, the Chevy Volt, was apparently forced onto the writers at the latest minute ‘ccording to a web chat with the film’s head writer. Who knows how much GM is padding the producers pockets but at least we get to watch our tax dollars in work this coming summer.

Oh and was the Chevy Volt TF kind of shoved into the film by GM and not really in the script? I understand that you might not be able to answer this.
Yes. Had to figure it out last minute.

American cars suck!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, they don’t. I’ve driven a lot of different types of cars as rentals over the years. Had a 2009 Impala yesterday and loved it. Great throttle response, smooth and quiet ride. Fuel economy wasn’t wonderful, but it isn’t a tiny car.
I don’t like Mazdas or Nissans nearly as much.
I’m sorry … but … why are you bitching?!
As Tiger clearly pointed out, there’s product placement in everything. It’s no biggie or surprise.
You have to admit the Windex thing in My Big Fat Greek Wedding was pretty funny. But seriously, does anybody remember that these movies are based off of a toy line to begin with? Yes, there is going to be product placement in it, and probably more so due to about half of the characters being various kinds of motor vehicles. And honestly, as long as they still do a good job of making it a good movie, I don’t really mind.
