Cooler Master feels good about their power supply units. So much so that they wanna prove to you that its units are strong ‘nough to start a car. It seems that all the geeks did was disconnect the Opel’s starter and hook-up the DC leads from a AC-powered PSU. Thanks to the power of video editing, it worked the first time too! Video after the break.

  • I’m a automotive tech. The test that Cooler Master did here is misleading. They did not remove the cable to the starter. They remove a power cable to power distribution center ( where all the fuses are ). There test shows a 29 amperes draw. An average starer will pull about 280 amps. That is why the cable going to the starter is a thick cable. The cables coming from the PSU are thin and can’t handle the required amp draw. The thin cables would have melted down with that much amps.

  • yeah I noticed that too as I had 2 omegas, next theyll be showing us arc welding..
