Leae it alone Microsoft. I feel a free upgrade to Windows 7 is only proper for Vista Home Premium users. I mean I do get a heeadache every time I use Vista Home Premium. because some Explorer evalator will not work, whats going on anyhow. I like to compute on my PC. Free please, Windows Vista Users actually have already paid when they purchased Vista.

Why bash Vista so much? I run it fine and it has been extremely stable. Did you ever try running XP on its base requirements of 64MB ram, it was horrible. similarly dont run vista on a 512meg system. not to mention how often does one install and uninstall before UAC becomes a hindrance. I leave UAC on and i get a warning in a week at the most. Most of the vista haters have been moms wanting to check email, who dont even know what an OS is. maybe thats y microsoft has to have a mojave in the first place.

Obviously, the writer of the article is a biased tool who believed all the Vista bashers riding the bandwagon.

If you really think that Win7 is going to be better than Vista, you may be a good candidate for The Mojave Experiment. Because, Win7 is Vista with the interface updated. I have used Win7 on the same machine with NO speed differences. NO difference in resource usages.

However, if you feel the need to support Win7 and it’s dumbed down, can’t find any settings, interface, and stuperbar, be my guest. But don’t be a tool and try to spread even more falsehoods about Vista. Quit trying to feed off the hype.

I’m definitely in the camp of liking Vista, but that may be because my desktop is fairly recent and has enough power to run it smoothly, I’ve never worked with it under a less capable system.

I’m on the fence as to whether or not I’ll upgrade when 7 comes out, as it won’t be a huge leap forward for me–under $100 would seem like the right price to even get me to consider.

BTW. I’m going to be really pissed if Microsoft hangs all of us who bought Vista out to dry. We spent the money, we should continue to get the support, or an upgrade to W7.

I’ve defended vista almost from launch (when I started using it) I like it but it does take a little tweaking to get to where I’m happy using it.

That said those who hate it either haven’t really used it, or those who hate don’t know how half what they think they know about windows.

I’m just like Nate. I like Vista as well and I’ve never had a problem with it. I still want MS to release SP2.

Windows 7 looks good but its pretty much Vista that’s been tweaked. Honestly, I dont really see that big of speed improvement.

By the way, my favorite thing of Vista is its Media Center. It works great with tv tuner.

I don’t consider myself a long suffering Vista user. I’ve had no problems with Vista. I enjoy using it a lot more than my XP boxes.

My Vista computers have been some of the most stable machines I’ve owned.

Add my voice to those who feel that a free Windows 7 upgrade for us long-suffering Vista users is in order. It will be interesting to see what MS tries to charge us to upgrade to 7. If the price is much above free, I’m going to pass. They wouldn’t dare charge what they were charging for the XP to Vista upgrade.
