I had the new amber/blue glasses and was rather disappointed — the new technology seems worse than the old red/blue encoding.

Damn, why did I hear about this now. I seen one of those commercials but I didn’t know anything was 3d. That’s awesome, wish I had those glasses.

Beginning with Beowulf, then Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D, and lastly My Bloody Valentine 3D.. These have all been state-of-the-art achievements in the 3D technology. While the last two I mentioned weren’t the best storylines, Beowulf was incredible! The Nightmare Before Christmas has been released (and probably will continue to be) the past few Octobers in 3D, as well. As you know, this movie was not originally made in 3D, but they’ve gone back and retro-fitted it. While you don’t feel like you have to duck (as in the other movies I mentioned) the 3D gives it extra depth that adds to the film. So, check out 3D again, it’s come a long way! Walt D in LV P.S. I’m not saying these commercials are going to blow anyone away.. I haven’t seen any 3D on home televisions, and can’t vouch for it. The Disney animated film, Bolt, came out in 3D this past fall, and while it was a great movie, the 3D was very flat (pun intended) in its performance.
