How many times can you tease Sony about the state of the PS3 before you become bored? The news that Bethesda won’t be developing DLC for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 has prompted me to ask this Very Important question.
So, Bethesda told MTV Multiplayer the other day, when the rest of us were too busy contemplating the post-Microsoft world, that it wasn’t considering PS3 DLC. Then, Silicon Alley Insider, predictably, used the opportunity to do one of its famous, “Wow, look how poor Sony is doing” posts. I mean, we get; Sony has seen better days. What good does writing the same story over and over again do?
Am I supposed to believe that developers are simply going to stop developing for the PS3, when development costs an arm and a leg? “You know, developing This Game cost a whole heck of a lot of money, but let’s not release it for the PS3 (and help recoup some of that cost) because we’re partisan.” I mean, really!

I dunno I gotta agree. I like both PS3 and 360 for different reasons, so I read anything game related. I also find it frustrating when I’m “tricked” into thinking an article is worth-while, but find half way through it that I’m reading garbage.

I was so amazed by the Blu-Ray player. It made so much sense. I wanted to spend a few hundred extra on my video game system to get a Blu Ray player in it! I mean, I spend so much time watching the Blu Ray movies, I almost forget it can play games..

If this favoritism doesn’t stop I am leading a boycott of all Bethesda AND Microsoft software/hardware. Don’t bother saying I’m butt hurt because I “picked the wrong system” I’d lead a boycott against Sony if the PS3 was the only system getting DLC. It’s unethical to release a game on multiple systems and then ignore one platform because it’s different, I could understand a difference in release dates because of conversion time, but not intending to release at all? That’s unbelievable, and short sighted. I loved Oblivion, I loved Fallout 3, but Bethesda needs to know better than to piss off their customers. If you own the PS3 version DON’T buy the PC or 360 version for the DLC unless you get your PS3 version refunded. They don’t deserve your money.

im pretty pissed about this whole DLC issue. ur right, multiplatform games should give equal opportunity to ALL platforms. im boycotting every bethesda game. its sad to think that this whole platform issue is like a certain time in history when certain peoples were not given equal privileges.

Game developing was all about art and pleasing the fans, now it’s about money and most games made nowadays are made to make money, and microsoft and bethesda are contributing to that. Not too sure how to express this inner rage that is building up inside of me. I bought the game as a PS3 owner not an XBOX owner – not only do they get a slightly better finished product but they also get a load of DLC which I can’t access. Why do this to multi platform games it just doesnt make any sense to me. I’m sure someone has to realise that this is a big mistake. I’m know fanboy but I chose the PS3 over its lame counterpart for all the right reasons – yet that little bit of shitty plastic gets what I’m missing beacuse of Mircosoft.

sony’s been sucking for quite a while now and its things like this that make me never to steer in sony’s direction. i enjoy playing fallout 3 a lot its my favorite game. and this would be a low blow if i found out that the broken steel DLC wouldnt be available for my console. the blu-ray looks appealing but not compared to gameplay sorry sony fans looks like microsoft owns again.

I still dont get the war of the consoles, i think both are good and bad in their own ways. The only reason people buy Xthingamys is because of halo and the promise of good internets. The ps3 has bad internets but it is free so you have to expect that. I personally feel that the Xthingamy controllers are too heavy and using one for extended periods of gaming time could cause serious RSIs but, many say the ps3 controller is too light. It just depends on opinion and people should accept that any people want different things from a console.
