The Simpsons has been a staple in many homes for nearly 20 years and finally, finally, the show will be broadcast in glorious high definition. Season 20 debuts on February 15 which is when the switch will be flipped and we’ll see Homer and Co. in HD. Plus, the show is going to have a new main title for the first time in 20 seasons. Oh, and for the record, The Simpsons is going HD before the earlier announced South Park high-def debut. Natch. So what cartoon is next? Family Guy? King of the Hill? I vote King of the Hill.

King of the Hill was canceled.
and Cartoon Network picked it up.

My mistake :)
Hey, Matt! Thanks for the info! But, FYI, you’ve got a typo in your headline. “Premiere” has an “e” on the end. (Unless you’re talking about a head of state or using it as an adjective.)
King of the Hill will be in HD on Feb. 8
I’m confused, is what is currently listed as Season 20 of The Simpsons on iTunes, and already at episode 9, *not* season 20 then? or is it available on iTunes ahead of the premiere? (oh, and being shown in the UK ahead of the premiere too, as saw one of the episodes just the other day).
I’d vote for KOTH, too, but it’s going off the air.
The Simpsons are in broadcast season 20, but this upcoming episode is the first with a season 20 production code. The episodes which have aired so far have been hold over episodes from season 19.
BTW, I remember seeing a while back that FOX did air an episode of KoTH that was produced in HD, but showed it in a 4:3 aspect ratio. If the show gets picked up by ABC who knows.
So I take it I’m the only one here that can’t stand King of The Hill? I mean the show has its moral values and what not, but its entertainment value leaves much to be desired. I honestly thought Mike Judge would get tired of this show a long time ago. I mean from B&BH to this was a big change.
not cancelled, just different, NBC
