Everyone knows that the Tesla Roadster is a quick car and can beat most Porsche’s down the quarter mile. That $100k+ ride doesn’t have anything on this Datsun powered by lightweight lithium ion batteries dubbed White Zombie. This little guy can scoot down the strip in under 11.5 seconds at a speed of 114mph sounding beating the Tesla’s advertised quarter mile time of 12.75 @ 104.74. According to peeps in the know, that makes this electric car the 2nd quickest electric street legal car. Bets on this car vs the recently announced Shelby Ultimate Aero EV electric supercar? My money is on the Nissan.

  • Wow, that is quick, but no unfortunately it cannot beat my Corvette. haha

I’m sure that car weighs close to nothing, so it probably doesn’t make any where near the power of the Telsa Roadster, It just weighs a considerable amount less.

My bet is on the Shelby, most of those special editions Shelby super cars run consist 10’s.

  • damn….that’s pretty fast ! zombie rocks !

  • Thats Quick!

    I used to have a 66 Chevy II SS, Tubbed, Narrowed, stroked 350 = 383ci – about 350hp
it had 202 heads, 800cfm carb, 15×32inch drag slicks, plastic front end, 8 point cage, 5:13 gears, turbo 400 tranny, 110 GPH fuel Pump, line lock, straight pipes, – best it ever went was 11.35 @115mph. it would have dipped into the 10’s I think with 4 link suspenion (it had long ladder bars) 4 link would have hooked up better but the car sold.

so I know, Thats QUICK! Amen to electric! ….I saw a bicycle powered by a cordless drill!

    best, Phil
