It has come to our attention that creatively bankrupt Hollywood has decided to make another Tomb Raider movie. All of us here at CrunchGear—we stay crunchy, even in milk—think this is just another example of Hollywood admitting that, not only has it run out of ideas, but that it has no problem tarnishing the image of its forebears. (See the upcoming Pink Panther 2 the most revolting example.) So, Hollywood, if you’re reading—why wouldn’t it be?—please, pretty please, reconsider.
The word today is that Warner Bros. has teamed up with one Dan Lin, who’s a producer whose credits (though in a different role) include 10,000 BC (which stunk) and The Departed (which wasn’t too bad, actually), to draw up plans for another movie based on Tomb Raider. The only problem with this is that, well, the other Tomb Raider movies stunk, and the video game series hasn’t been “hot,” I think it’s safe to say, since the late 1990s. (Is it me, or did the series begin, and peak, with the original Tomb Raider?) In fact, the only way to breathe life into the franchise is to retroactively release the Nude Raider code for all the games. That’ll get a buzz going again.
It’s not that we have no faith that the movie will be a smash hit, defined in terms of box office success (Mall Cop is the top movie in America, for Pete’s sake), it’s just that we think it’ll be absolute rubbish, and that Warner Bros. would be better off investing all that money and labor into something with a future, like the American auto industry.

I say you go one step farther and demand they go back in time and stop the first two from ever being made in the first place. All video game movies are awful and should be avoided at all costs.
Now THAT sounds like an interesting idea for a movie, itself. I’d go see that! :)
Hey Tomb Raider is my favorite franchise and I would like it very well to see another TR movie . so really there is no need for websites like this, you should just delete it. I love Lara Croft Tomb Raider, and you know if you don’t like tomb raider movies then common sense is shut up and don’t watch it. Websites like this won’t help.
I actually liked the Tomb Raider movies. Or maybe it was just Angelina Jolie. Or maybe both. I really don’t know.
I liked her. Or them. Both of them. The movies, I mean.
I like to watch them.
i loved tomb raider ever since, this is the best video game and also will be the best movie if they re-imaging lara croft and try to follow the real story in the video game from anniversary, legend and underworld. angelina is good but right now i think she’s not perfect for this lead role anymore im sorry. “”"Dear Hollywood, please don’t make another Tomb Raider movie”"” why?!!!! what’s wrong with you!!? if you dont like TR movie dont watch it.
this looks the opposite of creatively bankrupt – 9themovie.com
For god sakes people, boobs! BOOBS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
In all seriousness, I actually really like the Tomb Raider series, I will agree the games sucked for years. The last two have been fantastic, I really enjoyed playing them and would replay them again. I felt like Angelina Jolie did an amazing job potraying Laura Croft. Some of the scenes were a little sketchy, but I felt like the acting was on par with other movies with similar budgets.
So to say the least, I’m excited for a new Tomb Raider movie, all though I’d be more excited to See Angelina Jolie in, “Womb Raider.” ZING!
Okay, I’m going to stop drunkly rambling now.
