The Five Pillars of Islam are:
1: Believe that Muhammad is God's prophet.
2: Pray five times a day.
3: Give as much charity as you can, in any way you are able.
4: Fast during the Holy Month.
5: Make a Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in your lifetime if you are able.

Why not try actually reading the Qur'an, and perhaps learning to understand it.

And if you'd like to talk about religious documents that contain references to murder, war, etc...

"Next we headed for the land of Bashan, where King Og and his army attacked us at Edrei. But the LORD told me, 'Do not be afraid of him, for I have given you victory over Og and his army, giving you his entire land. Treat him just as you treated King Sihon of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon.' So the LORD our God handed King Og and all his people over to us, and we killed them all. We conquered all sixty of his towns, the entire Argob region in his kingdom of Bashan. These were all fortified cities with high walls and barred gates. We also took many unwalled villages at the same time. We completely destroyed the kingdom of Bashan, just as we had destroyed King Sihon of Heshbon. We destroyed all the people in every town we conquered – men, women, and children alike. But we kept all the livestock for ourselves and took plunder from all the towns." (Deuteronomy 3:1-7)

"So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan."

"The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."

"Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes." (Judges 21:10-24)

"While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was discovered gathering wood on the Sabbath day. Those who caught him at it brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly. But they kept him in custody, for there was no clear decision as to what should be done with him. Then the Lord said to Moses, "This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp." So the whole community led him outside the camp and stoned him to death as the Lord had commanded Moses." (Numbers 15:32-36)

So Joshua conquered the entire region – the hill country, the Negev, the land of Goshen, the western foothills, the Jordan Valley, and the mountains and lowlands of Israel. The Israelite territory now extended all the way from Mount Halak, which leads up to Seir, to Baal-gad at the foot of Mount Hermon in the valley of Lebanon. Joshua killed all the kings of those territories, waging war for a long time to accomplish this. No one in this region made peace with the Israelites except the Hivites of Gibeon. All the others were defeated. For the LORD hardened their hearts and caused them to fight the Israelites instead of asking for peace. So they were completely and mercilessly destroyed, as the LORD had commanded Moses. (Joshua 11:16-20)

That last one is particularly nice. "God made them unwilling to seek peace with the Israelites, so he could turn around and have the Israelites kill them for their land, possession, and women." Very nice, indeed.

It ISN'T saying that. The only way you'd hear it is if someone told you to hear it and you're easily led, or if you're INSANE, like the woman in the article.

Wow Jeff, you are one sad angry man. You haven't read anything. Since the quran clearly states: "Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And Allah hears and knows all things.” [2: 256] Everyone can check that out right away ;) And about the educational part, you just go check out a list wikipedia has put up concerning muslim inventions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inventions_of_the_Islamic_Golden_Age (even the shampoo you wash your hair with comes from the muslims)

So do your research before you start talking gibberish :D

I haven't heard the sound bites or anything, so I can't comment on that, but I was over in the sandbox playing shoot/blow 'em up with these "Islam is the light" characters for two years. I have news for you Islam-promoting jackasses. Do you really know the Quran??? I have read it cover to cover and see nothing in it about peace, open-mindedness, acceptance of anything other than Islam, etc. One of the five pillars of Islam is the Jihad, or holy war. This is not some bullshit play on words or anything. It's the real deal. If you know someone that won't convert, by the Quran, you MUST kill them. If you want your fucking jihad, come over to my house and give it a shot. I'll drown your dumb ass in pig's blood, cover you in bacon, and then send you in pieces back to wherever the fuck you came from. Some ignorant fucks out there say that an open mind is good, and that Islam is peaceful and all that horseshit, but they haven't been properly educated and/or on the recieving end of said "religion". Muslims are the biggest douchbags on the planet and I will be more than happy to rid the world of any Muslim dumbfuck that tries to "spread his religion" to me.....

i hear islam is the light. and it is wrong. the satan is the king sound may be off, but the islam thing alone should be reason enough to why a mother decides it is wrong. would you all like it if u had tickle me choose your religion now elmo!?
ITS A DOLL people! why is it saying that? a baby goes googoo not islam is the light! plain and simple. yes we as americans imbrace religion, but to stoop down so low as to push it on babys in the form of a doll is just wrong...and then to be accused of overreacting by fellow americans is ever worse..poor lady has enough toy trouble and to be told shes crazy just sucks i bet.

NO! Thats messed up, claiming that a toy spitting religious propaganda for one religion is more acceptable than another is straight up lying. Id hate the toy just as much if it were spitting lies about christianity, all you guys attacking this toy saying its ok dont get that some people dont want their kids learning something like that from a stranger, i dont want ANY religion involved in the making of my kids toys, itd be like letting a cult babysit. I hate all religion, i believe in science, and if that means having to just buy my kids entomology sets until they're old enough to make their own decisions to an extent i freaking will.

(Entomology is the study of insects, kids love bugs dont give me shit)

I find it interesting that people are freaking out about this "islam is the light" sound byte, when at the same time, American society is against anti-semitism; also, if it sounded like it said "christianity is the light", it might not be nearly as much of an issue.

I love how she says she "has to take the toys away..." So what if the baby in the video game says "Islam is the Light" - which, frankly, I'm not convinced that is what it says at all. It sounds like baby gibberish to me, gibberish that could be interpreted by a mind saturated with the rabble-rousing and fearmongering of today's terroristic media to form an actual coherent thought. If anything, she needs to pick up a DS herself and STOP WATCHING THE NEWS. Terrorists are not hiding in your toilet tanks and cereal bowls, lady, despite what the news and the government want you to think. Your 4-year-old is not going to want to be a suicide bomber when she grows up just because her virtual baby doll spouts some gibberish about a religion just as mainstream and controversial as Christianity. Not all Muslims are terrorists, just like not all terrorists are Muslim. Christianity and Judaism have their fundamentalists and hardliners, too. Wake up, lady: they're just toys. So you found the same sound byte in two of them; so what? Sounds get recycled all the time in the entertainment industry. How many times have we all heard the "Wilhelm Scream" in our movies? It's been around since 1951. And now the news is taking this and running with it, all the way to the bank. I can see the headlines now: "Is Nintendo funding Islamic terrorism?" It has the possibility to go on for weeks. I can only hope sanity and common sense prevail in this instance.

This is the most ridiculous story I have ever read. Are we giving this kind of press to every wacko that thinks they hear bible verses or Buddist phrases coming out of childrens toys?? That is just baby babble and nothing else. People have gone mad...

B... BRAN wash people? You mean, like a colon cleansing? We all know Faux News is full of it, but since when have the Jewish been responsible for any of that? Last I heard Fox was run by Christian Republicans trying to smush the "liberal media."
And, do they really have "wather"? Really?

Just messing with you, I enjoy typos so much.

HA! Right. Those freaking audio scans look exactly the same except for the magnitude. Could it be that the amateur recording the sound played on a speaker in a doll's ass didn't hold their recording device uniformly close to the doll? And neither fricking sound sounds like it uses the word "Islam", anyway. Sounds more like "igloo" to me.
