Google Earth, now used to combat the scourge of marijuana. Police in Switzerland used the map software to help find some 1.2 tons worth of the substance. And that’s not all!
Actually, that’s pretty much it. Police say they used Google Earth as part of a larger, traditional investigation. In fact, one officer described it all as a “chance discovery.”

I applaud Google’s solid contribution to the War on Drugs. Marijuana is western civilization’s greatest threat, right after junk bonds and Rick Astley videos.
Just to give one example of how marijuana (or as the hip youth call it, “Mary Jane”) can destroy a person’s life, a childhood friend started experimenting with the drug while in high school. Pretty soon, we noticed his odd behaviour–taking an interest in Jazz music and constantly talking about how Thelonius Monk was an under-appreciated genius. Eventually, he ended up learning to play the saxophone, winning a ‘Down Beat’ readers poll award for Best New Talent, and signing a recording contract with Arista Records. He is now on his 14th world tour supporting his latest album. This sad, sad tragedy could have been averted had we friends had the courage to notice the warning signs and intervene.
This could have been spotted in your friend early stages…way before Jazz is the “Talking openly black people”. This alone could have saved him.

Been in the Netherlands, done that. A society that has smoked pot for over 20 years now. Totally destroyed, tolerant, mixed, highly educated, highly productive, town councils growing their own pot for distributing to “coffee” shops, business men in ties and suits puffing away before going to the office, disgustingly elevated. The American lies to curb the best product to save people from alcohol and hard drugs are putting thousands of innocent people in jail, a wonderful country full of coke sniffing child porn politicians and more people in jail than any other country in the world.
