My MBP runs at 80 - 90 degrees celcius when processing even when elevated with a large pedestal fan blowing directly onto it. It is soo hot I had to buy an external (of course Apple) keyboard just to type.

It actually cooked itself the other day, requiring the main board, airport, sound card and something else to be replaced. Apple refuses to replace the unit (presumably until it cooks itself again). Really sux.

if you've got penryn (cough cough 2.53), then ya its gonna be cool. they;re talking about older labtops here.

chris - the MBP is ready for constant office use. typically it'll be sitting on your desk and not on your lap in an office envi.

Mine doesn't get very warm at all.

Oh, that's right. I'm not an isheep. I bought a better computer for less money. Less than 1/3 the money.

It's fans work.

Eh? My 2.53ghz unibody runs as cool as ice. Only thing that heats it up is gaming via bootcamp, which is easily rectified with smcfancontrol.
