And now, the greatest news since that time I was coming home from a bar in Barcelona only to find out that Radio Slave was performing by the club near my old apartment and I freaked out because oh my God it’s Radio Slave: Activision has confirmed the development of DJ Hero. Call me a jerk, I don’t care, I’m getting this game.
Activision’s CEO, Bobby Kotick, told CNBC:
We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year which is a turntable that you can actually play competitively, spin discs and mix on.
So, yeah, as a fan of electronic music (like the stuff you find on this blog), I must say I’m pretty gosh darn excited. Like, even if the game is terrible I’ll pull an IGN and give the game an 8.1, praising its sense of scope and the developer’s ambition, whatever that means.

I’m definitely stoked for sure! I am also a huge electronic music fan, I listen to a lot of house mostly. I fucking love going downtown, getting wasted, and dancing my ass off with some sexy ladies.

great, another game with no game design in it. good game designers create games that make you think and react these crappy games are mindless and have no imagination behind them.
how to design a music game.
step 1- license music
step 2- arbitrarily assign colored “notes” to sounds created by licensed music
step 3- make giant crappy expensive controller(s) that has colored buttons
step 4- sell crappy game with crappy controller(s) to posers
step 5- step 1 + DLC
