So there’s this site Out There called TwitterValue. It allegedly measures how much your Tweets are worth, based on a super-secret “Ph.D algorithm.” Our guess is that it takes into account the number of followers you have, how frequently you tweet, how many @replies you get, etc. Being the vainglorious nerds that we are here at CG, we decided to see how much our Tweets are worth. You’re in for a treat, believe me! Or should I say, you’re in for a Tweet, lol!

• @daamoth (Doug) is worth $31
• @nicholasadeleon (Nicholas, me!) is worth $137

That’s a suspicious amount of clustering around the $136-$37 area, no?
For comparison’s sake, the boss himself, @TechCrunch (Arrington), is worth $3,710 and @BarackObama (the president, silly!) is worth $41,150.

But seriously, I can’t find a reason to have my boring life be on Twitter, and not many of my friends are that exciting to where I need to know what they are doing. Facebook and Myspace status updates will suffice.

People appear to have lots of time to waste on internet, no twitter.
More stories like these on techcrunch (which gets forwarded and blogged around) and we will make sure twitter gets over-hyped and eventually acquire a self-destructive perception.

Apparently my Twitter account is worth $7055 but, despite the fact that this is $6960 more than I possess in the world right now, I can’t imagine what could make me sell it nor what would possess anyone to buy it!
