cc-2_jpgIt is over, friends. Here’s what they have to offer us in their last hours:

  • 30% off camcorders, DSLRs, point & shoots, CDs DVDs, photo frames, and GPS units.
  • 25% off plasmas, home audio, software, and office gear
  • 40% off furniture.

Good luck and godspeed.

  • “So you’re going out of business?”
“No no! It’s good for business!”

    (Anyone know the movie?)

    • Wasn’t that in “You Don’t Mess With Zohan” where the electronics store kept having going out of business “sales” to drive in bargain hunting customers but never actually went out of business?

Anyone in the field have word if this is now officially a real sale instead of the mark-up to mark-down ploy we’ve been reading about for weeks?

  • So here’s the deal. The liquidators seem to have finally got their crap in order. Well… sort of.

Today I bought a Nikon D40 for $350. That is about $60 off of most other stores. Here’s the catch at CC though. While it was listed as 30% off it was marked up.. still… to $499.99. While I saved money, and I am happy with that, I made sure I was still getting a good deal on it.

The best deal hands down in the store was XBox 360s. You can get the $299.99 version for $240. That is sweet. If I didn’t already own one I would have been all over that instead.

It is definitely a let down for the employees at the store and I feel genuinely bad for them. The guy who sold me my camera today was top notch and a really swell dude. He warned me of the shit the liquidators were pulling and he and I exchanged conversation with another person about his future and what his plans were.

The biggest drawback that he said that he has had so far are customers calling the cops on the store. Seriously. Despite the fact that there are like 50 signs saying that no returns are accepted and all sales are final, people were calling the cops on the store because something they bought was broken or not what they expected. He had to deal with 4 instances today alone.

Either way. There are finally some deals to be had. Jump on it quick though. The only lappies and cameras left pretty much are floor models. So choose wisely and be nice to the sales guy, he’ll do the best he can to help you out.

  • Seriously… those are the best deals by far

  • Why do they markup stuff like that? Don’t they realize that kind of crap is WHY they’re going under to begin with?
