An enterprising Maker has managed to make the imaginary shoe-phone in Get Smart a reality. His gadget is just a cell phone stuffed in one shoe and a Bluetooth headset in the other. He explains that he did this so that if someone were to rip apart the shoe you were using as a handset, they wouldn’t find a cellphone inside. 

He documented all the steps so that you could make one for yourself. I wouldn’t even mind taking the effort to make one. An added bonus: if you get mugged, stripped naked and left with only your shoes, you’ll still be able to call the police.
