We knew this day was coming and boy was it great to watch the Simpsons in all their high definition glory last night. In case you missed it though, the new title theme is after the break. It’s worth two minutes of your time.

I hope the new intro was good, because that show hasn’t been funny since ‘98. How old is Bart now anyways, 30?
I agree. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of the show from about 1991 to 1997; anything after that, who gives a turkey.
It sure is worth your time!
It sure looks like their new HD tv is plugged in via old RCA cables?
Sorry, i do fail to see the use of a HDTV outside of NTSC zones, due to the fact that human senses do not have the ability to pick up changes less than twice of what was there before. Since PAL – HD is only a jump of 1.5x the difference is barely noticeable.
On a brighter note, the intro’s good
Well Norther_Eagle, I can tell you it’s noticable, since the size of the screens have changes also.
Take the resolution and the size of the screen, youve got an impact of more than x2.
I am a PAL consumer, and not that a fanatic about audio/video quality (I even enjoy watching movies on my small Archos 400), and the difference is noticed, even by my un-geek wife.
Even in theory practice is better than theory :-)
