The Nintendo DSi will finally land in American gamer’s hands on April 5th and Gamestop is already taking orders – as they should be. You have two options.
One: Reserve just the system for $169. Fair enough.
Two: Reserve the system plus an accessory kit that makes Gamespot a lot of money for $194. It includes a DC adapter, earphones, a wallet and extra styluses. Worth the extra cake? Doesn’t sound like it to me.
Limited quantities are available for the first run though, so you may want to hurry up and fork over you cash to Gamestop.

Do the cameras on the DSi do anything useful?
I won’t get fooled again with another DS. I was stupid enough to get the DSLite and haven’t picked it for a year – ever since I finished Zelda. There hasn’t been a great game for months, and the DSi isn’t going to change that. If anything, it’ll just inspire more crapware that tries to make use of the cameras in some unique way that everyone thinks is cool for about 8 minutes, but is actually really lame.
I am thouroughly confused now.
Why does america get the black and blue models and the UK gets the white and black models. Just offer all three to both geographical locations?
Any ideas why they did this?
GameStop employee here.
We are currently reserving the DSi, but the minimum down payment is only 25 dollars as opposed to a full payment of 169.99. In addition, I’ve heard nothing about an accessory bundle but it’s possible that my region isn’t participating.
Reserve now, as pre-orders will most likely only be open for the next two weeks. :)
Yea, i have heard it’ll cost 25 dollars to pre order if you bring in your old ds, so does the offer only go with DS Lites? or can i bring in one of my old ds Phats? cause i dont wanna get rid of my DS lite. yet.
