It’s no secret that I love old NES games, and of course Contra is among my favorites. You can imagine my delight, then, on finding that some utterly insane NeoGAF forum members had put together a start-to-finish remake of Contra inside LittleBigPlanet on the PS3. Using the toolset they’ve been able to sort of jury-rig the guns, turrets, bosses, and even the rear-perspective base battles. Hats off, my friends. Hats off.

D00d I have to admit myself I got LBP because my wife wanted it and I really find myself enjoying all of the user made content. I havent even played the game itself. I am too busy playing Super Mario World Levels. Oh joy I love LBP!
I got an early copy of the game to review and haven’t picked it up since. I’ll have to check it out, didn’t realize you could do all this stuff. Hats off indeed!
Can anyone download/access this if you have LBP and are connected via the internet? I have not picked this game up but keep hearing good things and this video of the Contra levels makes me really want to get it…if these are accessible by anyone – can someone post some instructions to get to them from within the game? Thanks!
