I have bought two. I love the things for my kids. No trojan horses, no viruses. My kids can surf and not trash my computer. I still can't get the trojan horse off my old PC. None of the spy-ware programs will remove it. So screw it, I bought the two mac minis for the kids. Problem solved.

Perfect for the internet.

What the ... . I was really waiting for the mac mini update to set up my living room the way I want it. But that means a HDMI Interface, as every other system. But what did we get? 5 USB Ports, MiniDVI and Mini Display Port. I mean, seriously, if we can survive with 1 USB port on a MBA, why do I want 5 and no HDMI?
Stevie, where are you. The company needs help!

Yes, but it's tiny and practically silent. Both of those qualities are highly valued by some people. Power isn't everything.

I was going to say the same thing. In fact, I might write something up later. I disagreed with the *design* of the thing when I saw that video, but that guy was treating this thing like bigfoot.

This thing has two video ports (Mini DVI and Mini DisplayPort) - does that mean it supports two monitors? I always thought the big problem with the old Mac Mini was that it didn't support dual monitors.

I think it's a fallacy to assume that win/mac/linux machines are somehow interchangeable. The typical consumer isn't going to say "I have $600. Should I get a mac mini, a windows machine, or an Ubuntu machine?" Even if one rejects the windows machine outright, the average consumer also is going to have no idea where to buy a computer with ubuntu pre-installed.

If they want a mac, the mini is by far the lowest cost of entry available, and the only option other than a mac pro that allows you to upgrade the computer and monitor seperately.
