And I can’t even solve a Rubik’s Cube with the help of YouTube tutorials. You have to give it up to Jason Smith of PuzzleForge.com for hand casting each piece and painstakingly assembling this puzzle. There are over 975 individual parts, including 1,212 stickers, which took 75 hours to complete. I’m going out on a limb after seeing the video after the break that there is no way in hell that anyone can solve this puzzle. No way.

I’m afraid my time is worth far too much for this.
Holy shit.
I am afraid I am nowhere near intelligent enough to even begin to fathom solving that thing.
In jason (the builder) and andrew (the designer)’s defenses, this puzzle is totally solvable. Not by any means of making random turns, but by a very precise method known as reduction. To give you some base, a gigaminx (an order 5 dodecahedral puzzle. this is an order 9 dodecahedral puzzle) takes on average 2-3 hours to solve. This puzzle would probably take a weekend, but if someone was dedicated to the solve then it could be done. Very slowly.
Gimme a week with that beast, I’d solve it. >:D
this is the coolest thing ive ever seen i know i could never solve it but man i would not stop try im goin to go get one and spend the rest of my life trying to solve it
p.s there is never going to be a world record for this monster
…It looks doable and I am sure I can eeeeh……No!
I can solve gigaminx (5 order version of this puzzle) in 20 minutes.. It would probably take a few hours to solve the 9 order petaminx. Its not hard..
