The Leica S2 AKA the crazy camera with a freaking 37.5-megapixel sensor that will cost under $20,000 is still on track for a Summer appearance. Says Leica product specialist Justin Stailey:
“A lot of it has to due with fluctuations in the Euro. All we can say is that it will be priced competitively in the medium format marketplace.”
Dan has more goodness over at PDN.

What I think will now happen with Leica’s announcement of the S2, is that established DSLR manufacturers will incorporate a straight-forward, honest-to-goodness shutter speed dial on their bodies with no-clutter, ergonomic clean design.
Well done Leica for bringing back a no nonsence approach to Camera design.
Excellent news, I hope there are no delays, I have been saving up all my pocket money ! I agree with JB Leica have gone for simplicity and quality.
