hilarious analogy of the UNIX inspired OS. So if i follow you i guess that would mean that Proxy networks are like the "baby monitor" for your 3 year old vistas, or "moms six sense" when 18 year old Linux throws that party when shes on vacation.
Proxy networks are a great way to get remote access to you computer for fast and reliable remote control. check them out.

Linux client usage has seen some gains this year. Linux already has a great server presence, now if we can just get more desktop deployments.

[...] Happy Birthday, Linux! Strictly speaking, Linux was officially unveiled in September of 1991 with version 0.01. That’s a more accurate “birth day” for Linux, which makes it 18 years old later this year. Hopefully Linux will exercise its newfound adulthood by buying cigarettes and pornography, and voting!
Hardly everyone's favorite UNIX-like OS. Amongst server administrators for sure, and a certain subset of geeks, but that's where it's core fans are. On the desktop, it's got along way to go.

My favorite UNIX-like OS? UNIX.
