LG’s two hottest full-touchscreen phones, the Dare and the Versa, are out in the wild on Verizon. If you’re not interested in going with an Omnia, Blackberry, or Centro, they might just be a good match for you. the obvious iPhone comparison not-withstanding, this is a pretty good comparison. My biggest complaint was that i was able ot figure out the versa in about a minute of playing with it, but the people at Verizon were telling me they were the same phone. That’s more service oriented i suppose. I don’t really care for the smaller camera on the Versa, I’m about to have a baby, and i want the option to be able to take pics as easily as possible.

I was just in Verizon last night & that “knowledgeable” rep told me they wer the same too. Ge even tried to hold them together & tell me they were the same size! I schooled him & pointed out the differences I learned on the dogfight on phonedog. He looked @ me like a deer in the hearlights!
I’m still undecided though as I do 15 + texts a day, so the qwerty keyboard is a plus. Everyone keeps saying how much bulkier the Versa is vs. the Dare, but most posple are also comparing the Voyager wich is just as bulky, so not sur ewhat’s up with that?

Its so hard!! Ive watched and read so many things comparing these 2 and i dont know what to pick! I mean i do usually send 50+ texts a day. I also like to plug in my own headphones to listen to music..

I had the Dare and I ended up with four of them they are sending me the versa I’ve not had one yet so I dont know how its going to work out but i went through some dare’s I liked my dare it was a good phone. My friend has a Dare and she has only had one problem with it. The Picture message is slow and so was mine. Hope this helps!
I just got the Versa today. That thing is AWESOME!! I’m glad that they have the optional keyboard, but I think that typing on the versa with the T-9 is faster than my typing on my old glyde keyboard. I’m extremely happy that I went with the dare: I did about a months worth of research, even before the versa came out, and I think that I won’t be disappointed.
The software on the Versa is phenomenal. I’m still finding new features, even though I got the phone about 7 hours ago, and have been playing with it ever since. The battery is amazing: Its had one bar since I got it, and it still hasn’t run out, even through non-stop messaging and use.
I usually send about 1000+ messages a day, and the versa won’t hinder me at all!

i think that the versa is alot cooler. its newer, and its got new features. i really like it and im thikin about getin it. but unfortinitly i dont have an upgrade until nxt. year. so wen my upgrade comes i will probably will get the versa. anless there is a newer phone out that is much cooler.
I have the versa and the only bad thing is that the qwerty attatchable key board is a pain and the touch qwerty keyboard is to small and im a pretty big texter but i love the versa i highly recromend it

i couldnt decide between these 2 phones. but i did a lot of reading about and comparing them both. i think i willl go with the dare. at first i wanted the versa,a lot newer and not a lot of people has it yet..and it just looked awesome lol..but i love taking pictures! and i know that the dare is one of the best lg camera phones! so i think i will go with it. plus the keyboard on the dare is easier to txt than the versa.

I got my versa about a week ago and I have loved it. I don’t use the detachable qwerty keyboard that much because it makes the phone look like a wallet (ha ha), and the phone has a great on-screen qwerty keyboard too. The only problem that I’ve had with the versa is that while navigating through menus it’s pretty slow (though I’m comparing the speed to my Ipod Touch – LOL). Overall, the LG Versa is a great texting phone with a stylish design and touchscreen.

I am very depressed! My upgrade si coming but i’m not sure which one too get! I’m an eleven year old so I need something that I can text fast on like the Versa QUERTY but i’m also VERY into photography so my camera s almost always dead! I need a backup camera and the Dare definitley provides! I also love my music and my vidz but the iphone is out of reach since the rents said no! I’ll also need a data block on the phone! no internet acess! I have thouroughly enjoyed toying with my moms enV touch and I absolutley HATE my palm centro!!!!! Does anyone have some adice?

I have had the lg dare. . Gad trouble went thru 3 of them. Now have env touch do not care 4 it since i use the touch screen alot.. to me the touch screen isnt as responsive as the dare. im getting the versa n a few days and really hope i like it… its my last chance until sept of next yr 2 get a phone i really like the things i use most are pictures texts and facebook….

The dare is a great phone. It takes great pictures and I never have had a problem texting. I do have a problem with reception my razor worked great in my house my dare 1 bar no internet no vcast. I could use my sons NET 10 phone in the basement it has full bars. I contacted verizon about this and they wana give me a new chocloate or versa. I dont want either. Dont know what to do.
