Heads up, wannabes. The Web site for Activision’s upcoming game DJ Hero has now gone live. There’s, like, zero information on the site as yet, except for a “sign up to be the first to know” button.
You may recall that Activision confirmed the development of the game a few months ago. The company is looking to capitalize on the success of Guitar Hero, a game I think is beginning to lose its luster. How long till a publisher announces Hip-Hop Hero?
Anyway, here’s a video of the Chemical Brothers tearing up Trafalgar Square. They’re good DJs, or at least they were for a while there.

is this a hip-hop dj game or that chemical brothers sort of techno stuff cause sorry not interested in techno. but hopefully the game is hip-hop and has some real skill aspect to it like battle djs. like this

We *think* it’s going to be a DJ game (Chemical Brothers, etc.). I was just saying that it’s only a matter of time till someone comes out with a Hip-Hop Hero game.
They’re not dj’ing, they’re producing live. As dj’s I never liked ‘em, but their live show on the other hand is NUTS! I saw them in San Diego at a small 300 person club in 1996, and didn’t know it was in quadraphonic sound until they started and I happened to be in the dead middle. It was at this point my face melted.
The DJ Hero site scares me — it makes it look like all we’re about is hero wsorship. They should send a trancecracker chikc tract pamphlet with each game.
