Hi,
I agree with how simple things are with Netflix application and FB connect. But i like to do more with my netflix data and find movie matches between my friends who are netflix and non Netflix users on FB . I also want to hide certain movies from friends which i only want to keep to my self. All this is possible on FB via few apps there is the MyNetflixMovies app which does not all that is needed. Then we have a new app Netflix Movie Wall which has most of the featurs and allows users t olog in or Put RSS links , hide movies from friends, show queue , add movies from queue etc... in all i like the directionin which they are heading. chek it out http://apps.facebook.com/netflixwall/
also there are some more application that are in the development stages so cant comment on those.

my 2 cents

I think this is great, been a NetFlix member for years and hope this makes them more popular. I want more new releases through their streaming service.
Try the <a href="http://sthrt.com" rel="nofollow">best homepage</a>

I long time ago, in the middle of the netflix challenge, I wrote that Netflix shouldn't be focusing on making their algorithm more accurate - they need to make their rating system richer to give their algorithm something better to work with.

Using facebook connect and mining conversation between friends, netflix will be able to improve their recommendations much further than by tweaking their existing algorithm. Mining conversations allows you to cluster movies into micro-genres connected by friend relationships and language used to discuss the movies. To see why I think this is superior to using a five star rating system, read the link below about intelligent crowds "guessing jelly beans in jar."

She is tagged as a "Guest Author" on the TC homepage.

My problem with this article mostly lies with the fact that it is blatant advertorial. The ethics applied by TC are conspicuous at best, and non-existent at worst. I have serious issues when "journalists" get paid to tell stories.

Netflix looks like the next tech darling. Stock (NFLX) is almost historic high. Netflix employees earn more (average $119K http://www.salarylist.com/all-real-jobs-salary-at-netflix-inc.htm ) than Google employees ($96K, http://www.salarylist.com/all-real-jobs-salary-at-google-inc.htm ) while Google has to adjust stock option strike price. Facebook will only help them grow faster

Dear anon,

Your the only one who's calling her a "Guest Reader" oops, I ment "Guest Author".

Try having a look at the other articles this 'guest' wrote. http://www.crunchgear.com/author/sluther/

If you have a problem with TC et al, go find another blog to read. No one is twisting you arm to keep coming back to read here.

TC can write about what ever they want, and if one day it dosnt match up to what I want to read, I wont be back. And I will be fine with that. I'm not going to start writing lame comments about TC.
You should just walk away and dont come back so the rest of us to enjoy reading TC to have to put up with your moaning comments.

And anyway, who the heck are you 'anon'
Not man enough to leave your real name when your complaining aye!!!
