I took a deep personal interest in Batter Blaster when I first covered it way back in October of 2007. At that time it was only available in the San Francisco area and, after what seemed like eons, I finally saw Batter Blaster in a grocery store here in Boston last night.
What is it?
- Pancake/waffle batter in a pressurized Cheez Whiz-type can.
What does it promise?
- Quick pancakes with even faster cleanup.
Does it deliver?
- Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes.
Recommendation
If you like pancakes and can get past the idea of pancake batter in a can, then $4.99 for Batter Blaster should be a no-brainer. They taste just like regular pancakes, and prep and cleanup time are pretty much eliminated altogether. I went from no pancakes to pancakes in about three minutes.

For the sake of our environment, deadpool this type of product.
I refuse to deadpool this on the logic that it is friggin amazing.
Which definition of deadpool are you using? the one where people enter a contest to see what celebrity will die first? Or the one which refers to water under a turbine that won’t circulate. Your comment makes no sense, you chimp. Way to try and drive traffic to your collection of links you call a website though. Thumbs up on that one. You wanker.
Batter Blaster sets new Guinness World Record for pancakes cooked & served… 76,382. TV coverage here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti1cRbD0XRE
Might I recommend you DO NOT under any circumstances do straight shots out of the can of this stuff. Cook it first.
Umm, so I hear.
great for camping!!
Seriously. Great pancakes- and deadpool what? Condensed batter? Is that the new CFC? Come on!
I’m excited you found some in Boston. I’d only seen them in SF, glad to hear they may someday make the marketing trek to florida.
I use this stuff: http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/bisquick/shake-n-pour.htm
I can stomach that idea a little better than pancakes from an aerosol can.
Also, putting videos of yourself in your underwear on the internet is not the best of ideas.
Also, your can-shaking technique is superb. The facial expression is the icing on the cake.
All in good fun, thanks for the lunchtime laugh.
Oh yay, another empty aerosol can for the landfills. MAYBE, if they cooked themselves upon spraying (Jetsons-Tech), I MIGHT cut them some slack.
I don’t really understand why people feel the need to re-iterate the point that cans are bad for the environment. We get it. Get over it.
That said, I want to try this stuff soooo bad. Have you heard the jingle for this product? http://www.batterblaster.com/ Awesome stuff. Besides, it’s organic!
I believe Bisquick already does this out of a bottle…It’s not a new idea. Now they need to make a ‘Complete Breakfast Batter Blaster’ – Maybe not….
Where’s the bacon in a can?
What happened to the little alien in the intro?
These are the bomb. I love making them and when you weigh in the fact that they are organic – buy the time you would buy all organic ingredients – well it’s pretty much the same price.
