We featured Bandai’s weird beer can simulator yesterday, mentioning the company started behaving strangely a few weeks ago. Now Banpresto, a subsidiary company of the Japanese toy giant, adds another odd gadget to the mix: A mini shaking hip that’s powered by USB [JP]. Yes, Thanko is innocent this time.

The thing will be available in Japan in four different colors starting June. It just shakes. There is no memory or anything like that and yet they want $15 for it. International buyers who are desperate enough might be tempted to contact Japanese gadget specialist Rinkya to get one of these for themselves for next Valentine’s Day.

  • That is THE number one most useless piece of crap i have ever seen.

  • they need to make on that can “drop it like its hot”

  • pretty useless like the humping dog/rabbit/stripper.

I would rather have a nice PVC with built in LED lighting from their weapons powered from USB instead. At least it would be more desktop worthy.

  • It looks rather funny, and indeed I did laugh at first, but when I think that we’re continuously told we should start paying more attention to the environment by using recycable materials and produce less, I get a little bit angry at such wastes of money and such a cruelly pointless gadget for which about one litre of oil had to be extracted and processed.
And all this just because some old Japanese guy wants to have shaking hips on his desk.
    Get a life, seriously!
