Has anyone noticed that the computer she supposedly bought from bestbuy is an outlet only item? it means it would not have been in the store to buy.
Yes some PC’s can be expensive. But I just got a HP DV3T for $920 (tax included) that beats out the Macbook pro in everything save processor speed and only if you get the 2.5ghz option (mine has 2.26). What does the macbook pro start at, $1199 before tax? Hell I could dual boot win7+Snow leopard and still it would cost me $100 less then a macbook.

This is a COMMERCIAL folks, something derived to take your money from you. If you like Macs- great! You’re a PC- awesome! Who frigging cares?! It’s TV!! Turn the damn thing off and go spend real time with your kids, make love to your wife, make a real dinner at home, and tend the garden. You have lost focus, folks. Get real, and get right. Stop spending so much time on Jobs and Gates and more time on family- they are RICH because of this BS, yet we give them our cash and our kids push buttons all day and the wife doesn’t know our love. C’mon folks…

Everytime my XPSp2 machine bluescreens, I start a stopwatch. I stop it when the desktop is back up.

The culumative time over the last year, multiplied by my hourly wage, has more than justified the price difference between a Windows machine and my Mac at home.

Its really funny to see all the anti-apple comments replete with the term “fanboy”. I’m pretty sure no one over the age of 16 uses that term. Plus almost all the anti-apple comments come from people who clearly have no idea what they are talking about. So if you think people are Apple fanboys does that make you a Windows fanboy? Because if so you must have incredibly low standards. At least have the dignity and self respect to say Linux instead.
I find several things about the ad really interesting. First is that it is an ad for HP laptops not Windows. Not only that but a really crappy HP laptop by anyones measure. Second of course it is true that Apples marketshare is miniscule compared to Microsoft’s. So why does Microsoft care so much that they make the ad about Apple not their product? Really strange. Must be some serious insecurity on Microsoft’s end. So I don’t know who this ad is aimed at…it’s not going to make switchers of apple users to some piece of shit HP low end laptop. It calls attention to Apple which only helps Apple. I’m sure they are laughing like hyenas in Cupertino at Microsoft’s marketing incompetence. Microsoft really better hope that Apple doesn’t come out swinging with ads of their own.
Couple other things;
“Lauren” is of course an actress but her hair dye is so freakin obvious she looks like a circus clown. She didn’t do anything but walk in and out of the Apple store. The ad agency that made this ad uses Macs and has bragged about it in industry publications. Oh and she drives a Volkswagon yet is price sensitive. Yeah.
