Unfortunately, Gamestar was breaking the NDA for this one - official launch is today. And other reviews (like http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,680543/Review-Ati-Radeon-HD-4890-versus-Nvidia-Geforce-GTX-275/Reviews/) don't show such a clear picture, the GTX 275 is a tought compititor for the HD 4890 - which is not in reach for the GTX 295.

[...] First review of Radeon 4890 HD hits the webs April 1st, 2009 | Tags: good job, gtx, nvidia, overclocking, video card izoomer.init("pmimg",250,197); Expect a lot more reviews in the next week or so; the 4890 is the product AMD has aimed at Nvidia’s high-end cards, and according to German site Gamestar, it’s doing a pretty good job. It couldn’t quite beat the GTX 295 without overclocking, but since it’ll probably cost about $100 less, we won’t hold that against it. If you’re looking to spend around $300 on a video card (a bit above my own price range, but certainly within that of others), this will probably be your best value for a good couple of months.[...] [...]
