rumorA hot new rumor coming in from the Far East this morning about the next iPhone and an unknown Apple product, folks. According to the Digi Times, OmniVision is hard at work churning out 3.2-megapixel CMOS sensors for Apple’s next iPhone. But that’s not all. It looks like OmniVision has also secured a contract to produce 5-megapixel sensors for Apple as well. It’s unclear where this sensor is going and we’re not in the business of starting rumors, so we’ll let all of you do that instead.

  • Perhaps they’ll offer the iPod touch with a camera? I highly doubt it, although that would be pretty innovative on the MP3 innovation scale at least.

    • Well well well, as we all know the only real down fall of the iPhone was the 3G and the Camera how ever being in the advertising world i heard that the 5 Meg will be used in the new Mac books / Mack book pro’s and screens as for the 3.2 it is very likely, yet there is no flash. So if you want a hi quality digital camera go and buy a SLR with 10+ megapixels. Im all for making a integrated tool / divice but we cant expect to have a Ferrari pulling a plow in the snow now can we.
