Unfortanately no you can’t use the same charger. But when you buy the DSi it comes with a charger, it did for me.

I am a mother of 4, looking at buying either the DS lite or DSi for at least one of my kids. My 9 year old has been asking for the DS for almost a year and now wants the DSi. Currently, we have 2GBA with over 20 games that he and our 4 year old play all the time. Should I get the DSi for the 9 year old or just go with the DS lite so he can continue playing the GBA games without having to rebuy them from the apps store? Also, would you recommend getting either console for a 4 year old or make him keep using the older models?

I’m doing a paper for school and i need to know some facts on which is better, the DSi or the PSP. John doe don’t ask had some good stuff but I need more. Also on a personal note I have a DS phat and I would like to know if I should get the DSi. If the battery life on the “i” is better than the phat then I might but I also have lots of GBA games that I’d like to play. If i get the “i” then I’m trading my phat and probably my SP cause I’m short on money and my job sucks lol. Somebody help me out here on that and don’t forget about my paper. you cant play music during cartridge games cuz it only plays DS games. NO GBA SLOT!!! seriously people….>.> and of coarse it plays DS games cuz duh, its called the >>>>>DS<<<

The dsi is amazing! it’s just like the ds but the dsi has a camera with eleven lenses a sound maker that lets you record your voice and when your done recording you can play with and edit your sounds. you have internet access and you still can put a regular ds cartridge and a dsi cartridge and much much more! have fun!
