Oh my God, call the president! Howard Stern, who was given a private, sneak peak of the Palm Pre, has instead decided to go with the BlackBerry Bold. (As if the man can only afford one phone, or won’t decide to buy a Pre when it comes out, whenever that is.) He broke the news today.
Yup, apparently Mr. Stern, who’s a Palm fan, was impressed with the Pre, save for one feature, or lack thereof: compatibility with Lotus Notes. Seems like Stern needs his Notes, and without it he’ll have to skip the Pre for now. Instead, he’s chosen to go with the BlackBerry Bold, which isn’t a bad device in its own right.
Please keep in mind that Stern does not hate the Pre, does not wish ill upon Palm, but, for now, it’s BlackBerry Bold time.
Presumably Stern won’t be buying any phones from Ted’s Cellphone Emporium.

Howie is really going to kick start the advertising machine he once was. Isn’t that why SIRI paid him so much?
Sirius paid him so much because he had the ability to bring in huge numbers of subscribers, and he did it so well that, that a subscriber based incentive bonus kicked in before he even uttered his first words on the airwaves of Sirius…. about a 150 million dollar bonus as I recall. The fact that Palm was so heavily courting Stern’s endorsement for their product shows just how relevant re remains despite having left terrestrial radio behind, and despite the claims of his struggling competitors and their fans.

Just like Howard Stern to continue to support another dying platform besides his show… Lotus Notes.
Lotus Notes is what they use to collaborate on the show. That’s what they are used to and it works for them. Why change it just because some people consider it a dying platform?
The show only has just over a year and a half left before Stern retires. It doesn’t make sense to abandon Lotus Notes now.

Even better, one that makes him relevant or funny? The most humorous thing he’s done in the last 15 years was marry that competitor for the Belmont Stakes.
There will be an app for lotus notes you better believe,that is why they say for now. Howard Stern still has a loyal following though being on Serious hehe it is much smaller then it was. It is like the Love Doctors here in south Florida or Oprahhh…many many sheep listen to what they say and buy everything they mention. In Oprahs case it is 99% women and most of them need be shot and she needs to be in prison for fraud many times over.
Tempted to get a BlackBerry Bold now after hearing about it on Stern’s show, he seems to like it.
Howard preached for the longest time about the palm and we all know that once you get a crackberry….. you cant put it down.
