I purchased my first laptop in January and it happens to be an Acer Aspire. I didn't know much about computer systems at the time, but after conducting my research, I have realized that I made a poor choice for the money I spent. What I am trying to say is that I should have gone with HP all the way, and if not HP; Toshiba would have made another excellent choice. I'm not very computer savvy and I don't know where I should start with this system. I havn't even started installing the software it may need for me to start operating it. I feel like such an idiot and just want to get rid of it, so I can purchase a different system that I will be content with!

I'll never buy another laptop with Vista. I had to "upgrade" my Vista laptop to Windows XP so it wouldn't suck so bad. Everyone I know is holding out for Windows 7 as well. I'm glad Microsoft pulled the coding away from India for Windows 7. Hopefully they learned their lesson... you get what you pay for. $5 an hour for programmers = Vista.

I don't blame you, 7 will run better on the mid-range hardware. But I played with the Dv2 in Vegas and it seemed solid, so if HP's been good to you stick with it.

My last three laptops were HP's, so this looks perfect, but I'm still holding out for Windows 7.
