This is important - THE DROBOPRO IS NOT A NAS (Network Attached Storage) DEVICE. The unit MUST be connected directly to a server or workstation that needs to be powered on in order for the DroboPro to function. That being said, the unit is a SAN (Storage Attached Network).

AGAIN, THIS UNIT MUST BE CONNECTED TO A SERVER OR WORKSTATION DIRECTLY - IT WILL NOT CONNECT DIRECTLY TO A NETWORK SWITCH!

If you're going to call it Pro, it should really have redundant power or at least DC.

that's 200$s worth of behind the times on Apple's part. They're going to have to roll that support into the base image at some point, or risk having these 3rd party drivers mess up their pretty sandbox. ( this from a fanboi of said sandbox. =) )

Still I like the drobo, even if it's kind of expensive. I'd like the pro better if it just took advantage of the rack form factor and added 2 or 4 more drives.

$200?

Uh..

Why not use this?

http://www.google.com/search?q=globalSAN+iSCSI+initiator

Then again, if you are going to drop $2k on a box like this... 10% for something you don't comprehend might make sense too. ;-)
