Nobody in their right minds would think these commercials are aimed at the fanboys.

My point was that these commercials are clearly being effective if they are making the fanboys cry so much.

"People making real money are often willing to pay for better quality tools, a nicer working environment, and fewer hassles."

Which people on crunchgear have proven time and time again Windows and MacOS are the same in that regard.

Is your Mac a Computer?

Is it personal?

GUESS WHAT? Its a PC!

Care to give the reasoning you don't want to "touch a PC ever again"?

You are a fool to believe that ANY commercial could be effective when aimed at a Mac Fanboy (whatever that is?).

Here's the thing about that tax return: It doesn't show the income statement! People making real money are often willing to pay for better quality tools, a nicer working environment, and fewer hassles. The results show up in the bottom line.

How do you compare that stupid HP D5100T to a Mac Pro.. Mobileme is $100 a year times 5 = $500 + $70 when u purchase with a mac. Now Let's Talk Anti-Virus and Spyware for OVER 5 YEARS. ummm 89.99 time 6 OVER 5 YEARS is 538.95 + the repairs for your machine for those times that the anti-Virus doesnt help. Don't tell me you can do it yourself because according to the dumbass who posted this, He purchased One-One which mean your a dumbass who can't operate a computer. Don't say "Oo it's a Mac, i dont know how to use them... then your dumbass shouldn't be buyign 2 of them at once... Dell 3 year protection.. I dont feel like talkin to India, thank you..

More like with Mac you are given a Sniper

With Windows you are given an Automatic Rifle

With Linux you are given the INSTRUCTIONS and PARTS for an orbital satellite laser array, have fun getting it working.

Cyber Akuma, you have obviously missed the latest Machead argument technique. You slice and dice the numbers until you find one that favors you, like "laptops sold in retail stores for over $2,000" or "digital media players not counting game systems or phones except the ipod touch or iphone" and then you crow about how Apple DOMINATES that market.

What he says is technically true. Of laptops sold at brick and mortar retail outlets for over $2,000, the majority of that specific small segment of the market are Apple laptops, followed close behind by Sony. The bigger question would be, how important a market segment is that in a world where the biggest growth category is sub-$500 netbooks.

Of course to that you get the typical Machead answer seen in the article "well just wait until Apple does____ at some unspecified point in the future. Then you will really be eating crow!"

"Yes, PCs are cheaper than Macs when you don’t use the same quality parts and include equivalent software."

WRONG

MACs are pretty much entirely PC parts now, the ONLY difference is the motherboard, everyting, even the CPU, is the same off-the-shelf part you would find in a Dell.

The Toshiba Qosmio series are some of the most powerful and high-end gamign laptops you will find today. Even th starter model at $1500 BLOWS THE PANTS off of practically any Mac laptop, and even most desktops. Far higher quality parts (especially the speakers) at a fraction of the price.

"But Apple owns 60 percent of that market."

Ummm, what? Last I checked Apple has less than 10% of market share over PCs.

"It’s kind of stating the obvious. Yep, PCs are cheaper. And yes, some cars don’t survive crashes as well, they’re cheaper!"

Except that Macs are JUST as likely to crash as a PC. This isn't 1998 anymore.

Guess what, PCs are cheaper than Macs even when you DO use the same quality parts, and include equivalent software.

All us "Apple haters," which is to say the 97% of the world population who choose any one of 1,000 other companies as our computer hardware vendor of choice, get worked up because of posts like this, which claim to point out "illogic" but then end up just parroting the same old "it must be better, because it costs more" unreason that is the hallmark of you Macheads.

It is the same lack of reasoning that gave rise to the Bernie Madoffs of the world. It can't be a scam, because he won't even talk to you unless you are worth millions, and look how prestigious his client list is. There's no way that many people with that much money could ever be fooled by the oldest scam in the books!

I find it hilarious that people are still fighting the "but they hired actors!" angle.

Its a COMMERCIAL, what do you expect?
