Bill O’Reilly and his intrepid investigators attempt to grok the NES craze in this special report from two decades ago. It’s a fun trip back to a time where there were such jobs as “Game-play counselor” and “Fun Club President.” Remember Howard? Of Howard and Nester?

  • I remember that in a Nintendo Power comic, one of the two was on a gameshow and “correctly” answered “what is the Capital City of Kansas” as “Wichita.”

    Which it isn’t.

    I didn’t care at the time, but now I live in KS and it haunts me.

    I had forgotten about the gamer help line they had, it was free for me because I lived close to Redmond. Isn’t there a montage of the girl from the Wizard talking to them about every game before the big Nintendo game off?
