Way, way, way, way, way back in January of this year we took a look at a clock adorned with Star Wars vehicles that was being sold on Etsy.com. If you saw the clock and hoped against hope for a Star Trek version, your (space) ship has finally come in.
The Star Trek version costs $109.99, a bit more than the Star Wars version did at $90, but maybe there’s some sort of premium on Star Trek paraphenalia. There are “12 vintage classic Action Fleet Micro Machine starships, warships, and other vessels” that have been “hand finished in a black and silver pewter-like color.” As with the Star Wars version, you can ask for custom ships or vehicles, which the creator will include if he has them in stock.

Why are the Cardassian and Ferengi pointing the other direction?
i love this this clock is the same clock i got at target for like $15 with some ships glued to it save $90 and make your own.

They didn’t do anything to those ships. There have been a few collections of those ships pre-packaged as pewter – all someone did was tack them onto a ring, grab one of those “insta-clock” kits, and charge an arm and a leg for it.
Here’s one of them on eBay:

Awesome idea, but the guy obviously needs to give credit where credit is due.
By the way, I recognized them as the Micro Machines mainly because the Enterprise-B and Excelsior models always had nacelles that were bent one way or another due to the process used to create them – they were always curving inward, even when you tried to twist it the other way and make it look straight.
