Collins Stewart analyst Ashok Kumar (not this guy) is claiming that the Palm Pre will be a dud and that shortages, manufacturing problems, and Sprint’s relative suckitude as a carrier will push the $199 smartphone straight to the bottom.
While I welcome this bracing opinion of everyone’s darling, it seems Kumar has some sort of bone to pick and is bringing up concerns you could have for any phone, including the iPhone. He writes:
Collins Stewart analyst Ashok Kumar claims that his supply chain checks indicate that Palm has “drastically reduced its production orders” for the Pre. Kumar says “multiple hardware and software issues” have forced Palm’s hand here and that he doesn’t expect the company to meet its expected goal of one million units shipped in the second half of 2009. He even goes so far as to describe that figure as “highly unrealistic.”
“Multiple issues” affecting a production run of 1 million? Unless those issues were Yeti invading Palm’s OEM factories in Taipei, I’m fairly certain a company like Palm can dump out a million phones. He also points out that Sprint is losing customers and that AT&T and Verizon customers probably won’t switch to Sprint. OK. This I can stand behind. Verizon owns the world on “coverage,” or at least the public’s perception of coverage, and AT&T owns the iPhone, so it will be a tough sell. We can probably expect a migration – unless the Mini-Pre pops up – to happen about a year after the Pre is launched and consumers come to understand the value of the new OS.
Not to go all fanboy, but the Palm Pre is a compelling phone. Unless they completely fail in manufacturing, they can’t do much to break the momentum they’ve thus far gained.

Ok I look forward to the prediction
Sprint uses the same network Verizon does. The coverage is the same. The only difference is Sprint’s horrifically bad customer support and Verizon’s ads that make even the author of this article believe they have better coverage.
*taps nose* this is the general perception and, in most product cases, perception = truth
Spring uses the same *technology* as Verizon does, not the same network. And as for the truth about who has the best netowrk, capex #s don’t lie =)
BANGS HEAD lies lies and more lies half truth’s and inuendos!! Sprint uses the same network for roaming I do know that … Horribly bad customer service? IS this perception or just more Propoganda and lies brought on by the MEDIA and other bigots? You haven’t tried Sprints customer service or haven’t in a long time.I am sure you are going to lie and say you have though. Sprint has always helped me out with a Problem and given me credits more then I could ever hope to get on Verizon or ATT. LOL I would bet, guarantee I have paid less then 1/2 of what you have for the last 2 years of service and HAVE far more features and far better service soo .STOP the HATE and BIGOTRY =D Try it before you open up your fat mouths.
I WILL take the less then $400 I have paid in monthly charges(including the cost of my smartphone) the last 2 years over your Thousands??????? =) aww very niceeeeee
Verizon’s customer service sucks. I was one of the unfortunate (or stupid depending on how you look at it) people who got a storm. I have been trying to get rid of it for months now with no luck. IT guys at the stores tell me my problems are the standard for all of the storms, and verizon wont let me get a curve without paying $400. They have been rude and I’m just waiting till I have an extra $300 laying around to get out of my contract and buy a bb from another provider.
Weird, because I never knew that.
I live in middle-of-nowhere, MD, and while my family was on Sprint, we rarely had consistent service. We switched to Verizon after a frustrating two years, and I haven’t had problems since.
I did switch from a Sprint Katana to a Verizon Flipshot (both low-end phones), but I doubt that it made the difference. Coincidence? Possibly, but in my mind, it doesn’t really matter, so long as Verizon works. That’s more than I could say for Sprint.
Totally disagree with Kumar.
a. I would be surprised if a company like Palm, which has produced gadgets with such high hardware quality for so many years, will go wrong with manufacturing.
b. I may not be surprised if there are delays. As a consumer this sounds good as well bad. Bad because I get the product late and good because I am confident that Palm will not release a poor quality product; they will ensure that all quality standard are met. Unlike HTC, who have been poor quality phones.
c. Plam Pre looks like a winner. Its new OS is too good.
KUMAR is a douchebag with an AGENDA,that is clear!! Probably find out he works for ATT or is an APPLE devotee. They don’t all him an ANAL-lyst for nothing!!
If they launch in Australia they should partner with 3 who is one of the larger mobile companies who was snubbed by Apple’s iphone.
Ok, I’m with 3 and I just want to be able to buy the phone :)
Palm had their turn and they lost their momentum back in the era of the 600s. They burned through the better part of a decade, completely failing to put together a viable first-, second- or third-party app storefront or media ecosystem. At this point Palm’s betting the farm on the Pre but they don’t have much farm left to bet. Dead in 12 months, sorry guys.
Nathan, you should be right.
The smart phone market should be split at this point between RIM (keyboards, built around Exchange) and Apple (huge screen, app market).
What positive position can the Pre carve out? ‘The New Thing’ will get a few people, but Palm and Sprint brands are both tired and tainted, lessening Pre’s novelty value. And how much did “New” help Android, even with Google’s name behind it? ‘Great OS’ means nothing to 99.9% of the available market.
The two wild cards are a) Palm’s whole history of pulling out miracles just before they are going to go under (the original Pilot, the Treo), and b) their new management, which is supposed to be competent. But both of these factors have only been demonstrated in new product types, and Palm is a follower here.
blah blah blah you sound full of shit. Let’s see because they are an established company they can not make a new device and bring out a new app store. hmm something smells here of a double standard!! apples made a new device and didnt have an app store for a year and a sucky ass $500+ phone for a year that had all kinds of issues. It took a year for them to come out with a decent phone that they worked out most of the issues with and to bring out their app store.Ohh i forget they are apples so you give them a pass and discriminate against Palm or any other Company that you do not like. Classy!!!
And the scattered band of rabid Palm fans returns fire out of a one-toothed maw.
Great piece and small point but you mean affecting, not effecting in the fourth para. Effecting means causing and you surely can’t mean Multiple issues causing a production run of a million, can you?
Is it possible for an unreleased product to have “momentum”? The Pre might be the closest we’ve seen to an iPhone killer, but remember it’s still vaporware.
I think its fair to say that Apple’s iPhone 3.0 software fixes and upgrades has momentum.
So to answer your questions, yes, unreleased and pending products have momentum.
OMG no you didn’t!!!
Putting into Perspective Johnny Applebums comments about Vaporware and mentoning APP in the same breadth. Again how dare you retort that Iphone 3.0 software doesn’t exist yet!!! WE will have none of that!! Only Palm can be considered Vaporware because we all know that every rumor or new exciting feature that people want to believe that the 3.0 software is going to have, even though it doesn’t yet exist means nothing because IT is APPLE and you know like they are GOD so IT WILL COME TO PASS in fact the new Iphone wil have a 36″ High DEF screen built into it but only take up 5″ of space. WOW they are awesome like totally awesome dude!!!!
Palm made a couple of huge mistakes. The biggest being that the screen is too small. Smart phones need 3.5″ or bigger. The second is that they have waited so long to ship the phone that they are going to bump up against a new iPhone. The pre will get lost in the hype of rumors and news. Not to mention the CDMA is a dead technology and going with Sprint is just plain suicide.
People said going with AT&T was suicide. Carriers, for the most part, are immaterial in the buying process unless you’re upgrading.
Changing carriers was immaterial with the iPhone which EVERYONE the world over knows about — and even then every iPhone loves to whinge and moan about AT&T.
Outside of the web 2.0/Tech crowd, I don’t know a single person who knows about or cares about the Palm Pre.
And I don’t see Palm achieving Apple-level success with its marketing.
I disagree, what I’m seeing from my non-tech friends is interest. My girlfriend has a 5 year old flip phone & has no interest in my iPhone or any smart phone. When she saw the Pre she has been drooling over it.
The tech crowd has been following Palm with the ups & downs. Average Jon Q Public doesn’t care all they know is it’s a Palm with a keyboard and similar features as the iPhone. That’s probably good enough to sell a lot of phones.
The app selection, ease of use & compatibility with Macs & PCs (sync & email) will be the deal maker or breaker.
duh Im a douche my name is Timmy
Outside of the web 2.0/Tech crowd, I don’t know a single person who knows about or cares about the Palm Pre.
WTF???? Timmy if they do not know about the PRE how could they possibly care?
Many people care about a great phone once they KNOW about it and many people are looking for the cool new phone that is not on an OVERPRICED and UNDER NURIshed network like ATT =D…. MANY just hate APPLE too because of douchebag zealots that worship them and sing their praises every chance they get. I know many people that will buy the PRE but guess what? THAT is only because they KNOW of it now !! What a douche!!
Sprint has not even started to advertise for the Pre, so how is the general public even going to know about it now.
You are joking right? CDMA a dead technology? You obviously don’t know jack.
Both GSM and CDMA have their pros and cons. I can only guess that you think CDMA is worse because of the lack of SIM cards. But let me tell you that CDMA could have SIM cards if the carriers decided to implement them. But that would cost a whole lot of money. GSM has SIM cards because the tech is cheaper. That is why many phone manufactures will release GSM based phone first and then create the CDMA version afterwards (if it becomes popular that is).
Why 3.5″ or bigger? hmm ??? I say at least 3.8″ Only a few phones can fit into that category and the Iphone isn’t one of them.
SCREEN but I agree with you
O.K., LET’S GET THIS SETTLED …
everyone loves the iphone, i got that… so… anything that comes up against it is doomed to fail?
Lets go over somethings since I’m in rant mode.
the apps are great… you can play games, listen to radio, watch tv shows, update facebook and twitter on it. It’s great….oh wait, all that stuff… you can do on the ipod touch… the phone is crap!!!
I’m sorry fanboys, but you know it… i know it… all critics lovers and haters alike complain about the same thing..
battery life sucks, dropped calls, the 3G is awful and it is locked down all to hell (that’s why you jailbreak the damn thing.)
And while I’m crossing this bridge with gas and matches… anyone realize that the jailbroken apps that made your iphone a brick with an update… IS SLOWLY CREEPING INTO THE O.S. UPDATE!!!! and everyone thinks “yea, we got this now…YOU ALREADY HAD IT WITH THE JAILBREAK, IT’S JUST APPLE IS SAYING IT’S NEW!!!” (HUFF,HUFF)
sorry for shouting…
listen, i like the tech in the iphone/ipod touch, but when a underdog comes along and makes a device that intriguing everyone automatically says “IPHONE KILLER”
and the opposite camp says it’s doomed.
if there is no innovation, things get stale.
with palm jumping in this… it just got interesting again.
there’s my 2 cents plus a 1.00 tip (In these troubled economic times (drink))
p.s….Really Mike,”The biggest being that the screen is too small. Smart phones need 3.5″ or bigger.”
when everyone thought that apple was coming out with the iphone nano and said the screen would be smaller, everyone loved the ideal, now the pre has a smaller screen… it’s awful??? REALLY?!?!?!?!?!
Did anyone else think Ashok Kumar said Ashton Kutcher? Maybe I’m just losing it…
I liking Pre now. Is it gooder than Iphone? It is has fart app? I thinking of buy Pre.
f@n hilarious!
@Aseem I agree so here is to hoping for the best.
We need more than one and a half (Android) phone platforms pushing the technology forward.
Screw perception. I have sprint and love it! The Actual coverage has always been exceptional. The $99 unlimited everything plan is a real bargin (how much is the AT&T and Verizon everything plan again?) Can’t wait for the PRE.
Let’s not forget – pundits who claim this will be a huge success or failure are all GUESSING. Lets just wait and see.
I agree with you. Where are the $99 plans on Verizon and AT&T???? What do they offer that Sprint doesn’t? AT&T has definitely Shitty customer service. They don’t know what they are doing, the 611 number knows different things the store does and their system of setting/resetting phones with plans have never been tested. They don’t work. AT&T Sucks!!!!!!!
The Dark Lord
One word-Iphone. There’s nothing else.
Did you mean one app, thats all that Iphone can run at a time.
That “one app” saves battery life, so unlike the G1 or Pre, the iPhone an last longer than 3 hours (more like 5 but you get the point).
LOL keep telling yourself that. APPLE tells me what I need and they know best. Darnell Darnell get a backbone. I know many eople that own Iphones and they unlike you do not worship them, they know their limitations and complain about ATT and their high bills all the time. WOW you fanboys amaze me
@Davidwg
“Great piece and small point but you mean affecting, not effecting in the fourth para. Effecting means causing and you surely can’t mean Multiple issues causing a production run of a million, can you?”
————————————
No, affecting is correct. The production will “affect” the release of the phone, which could have a positive or negative “effect”.
Mike said: “Palm [blah blah] mistakes” “[blah blah] the screen is too small. Smart phones need 3.5″ or bigger.”"[blah blah} iphone" "[blah blah] lost in the hype” “[blah blah CDMA is a dead technology”.
One word – ifanboy. Typical, because nothing in this comment makes any sense.
John – I read similarly into Kumar’s analysis. While there are quite probably supply problems (there always will be when first out of the gate) I suspect Kumar, like many of us, lost his shirt on $PALM and is still not over it.
One need only monitor twitter for a day and search “Palm Pre”. A year ago I would have said its only the tech crowd interested, now, that’s not the case. Too many people want it, and many are willing to switch carriers to have it.
As for coverage, I had AT&T for years. After Cingular merger I dropped more calls than I did grey hairs on any given day. Having moved to a new location 4 years ago Verizon’s coverage map showed me in the middle of full coverage. I went through two phones before I realized the error of their advertising and switched to Sprint. Since then, not one dropped call, not one single issue with regard to bandwidth on their EVDO network.
Acknowledged that Palm’s marketing dept. quite probably has their heads up their butt, this has to be the single worst product rollout ever. Already sweeps week has started and there is not one single advertisement for the Pre. One would think that a struggling company with a groundbreaking product would want to get its product to the masses, and if they’ve figured out how to do this without dropping advertising $ then they’re truly onto something. I’ll go with the need for a proctologist theory.
Bumping up against WWDC (if rumors are true) will be a collosal mistake – Palm will have about 24 hours on the front page before the Apple machine swallows them. Rumors of supply deliberately held back is similarly stupid for Palm – they’re no Amazon (Kindle) or Nintendo (Wii). They’ve simply kept people in the dark (and laughed at us along the way) too long – people are not going to wait around forever. They’re rapidly missing their opportunity.
Quite the shame, the Pre, and WebOS, are groundbreaking in similarity to what iPhone did for the smartphone industry. I hope I am wrong, I hope Palm is completely successful. They make great products and have a very good development team behind the platform.
Not to get all fanboy on you, but I’ll be one of the first in line for the Pre.
Was just going to say – monitor Twitter for “Palm Pre” for while – it is certainly being talked about quite a bit.
ATT’s service “in general” (loctin dependent) is pretty much in the tank. Sprint’s service in the same markets is better (I have had both and now have Sprint). I don’t understand why iPhone lovers continue to put up with it.
as a former sprint customer, and now an at&t customer, AT&T is by far the biggest suckage, I would gladly go back to sprint, if i didn’t sign a 2 year contract.
Figure out a way to get out of your contract next time they change the terms of your agreement. Many have been successful without having to pay a Termination FEE
I agree Palm and Sprint need to release this phone rapido cause a person like me (who’s been salivating over this phone) is quickly getting over it!! I have no patience and no qualms about switching carriers if it does not come out by June
Exactamundo.
Palm has already screwed up this launch by waiting too long to release this phone. I was pretty excited about it in Jan 09, now I don’t really care. I’m an iPhone owner and am now looking forward to the next gen iPhone more than I am the Pre.
Point being, attention spans are short. They had an opportunity, they failed to deliver.
Oops, before I am iAttacked, that should be colossal. :)
This is a low risk projection by him, which frankly bores me. Of course the Palm Pre will struggle in the face of new Apple and Android products launching 2H2009, and by the overarching fact that the first-mover crown in mobile transformation was won by Apple in 2007.
I think the application platform decisions of Palm were the right ones, strategically, and the thought leaders at the recent JSCONF thought the same.
Palm can live to fight another day if they:
1. Don’t crash and burn over battery life and background processing support
2. Actually hedge their customer acquisition bet with the Pam EOS on another carrier (a really smart move by their mgmt – glad to see it)
3. Launch with a reasonable bundle of core apps (I lived the early days of the G1 launch and its limited app library/marketplace as a customer, and they can definitely beat Android here with some focus)
4. Get the device in the hands of thought leaders and pundits.
Mobile isn’t over – a good open dev environment, with a hybrid touch/keyboard device, and $199 and $99 SKUs can make them a contender.
Best of luck!
As far as #4 goes, Palm is *sort of* doing something like that. They’re giving out Palm phones (Pre? maybe) to users and giving them six months of service in exchange for some social media love.
We’ll see how it goes.
Unsatisfied demand is better than oversupply, particularly given where Palm and Sprint are right now.
Also, depending on the maturity of the supply chain,sourcing/BOM, initial orders may be less of a leading indicator than they have been in the past.
I bet Kumar has an iphone poster on his wall just and follows the janitor at Apple on twitter.
“3g network” everyone uses the same network people as said in multiple comments.
I disagree with Sprint customer service being bad. I have had a great experience with sprint. They have called me multiple times to actually lower my bill and did so successfully.
In terms of coverage, I live in NYC and have never had a problem with service at all.
All of you guys are missing the boat. The Pre will live or die based on corporate adoption. I know our IT team is looking closely at it. If they can bring iPhone cool to the Corporate user, they’ll hit a home run.
I agree with you.
And just for fun, let’s look at the fundamental differences. WebOs is based on HTTP, HTML, JS and XML –core enterprise technologies meshing with millions of resumes NOW.
iPhone requires competency in objective C. How many companies have invested in this technology thus far?
Oh, and one more thing. Apple wants to charge me $99 to slave over writing applications for their platform. WTF?
You can write web apps in HTML 5 using all of these technologies on the iPhone. You can even install icons for them on the home screen. Apple even offers a GUI toolkit/IDE called Dashcode to do it. If you recall, before the iPhone SDK was released, this was Apple’s recommended way for writing iPhone apps.
I disagree, customers i spoke with that had the iphone(2 of 3) will switch to sprint and get Palm Pre but will keep Iphone as well for the music ipod, games, apps and for their kids to play with.
WebOS lets you run background applications. What more is there to debate about?
$PALM up $0.80 a share today. Apparently investors disagree.
Anyone who thinks the Palm Pre will be a smashing success like the iPhone and BlackBerry devices simply does not understand market dynamics.
Look at NeXT and BeOS… both products way ahead of their time technically. And like the Palm Pre, on technical merits alone, they should have been successful, but market dynamics do not work that way.
It doesnt have to be a smashing success as compared to the iPhone.
I switched to AT&T from Sprint for the iPhone. I found AT&T’s coverage to be extremely poor compared to Sprint. If the Pre is even 1/2 as good as the iPhone, I’m switching back to Sprint. I can’t stand the AT&T’s (lack of) coverage.
You know what I think about most analysts, they are all a bunch of idiots who like to try and predict stuff. They are the failures of every known product and money related issue to ever hit this planet. They can’t get gas price predictions right how the heck would they be able to get technology right. Analysts are scum of the the earth. Palm is a good company and Sprint is a good Carrier despite what every body says. I have friends who have AT&T and hate it and i have friends who have Verizon that hate it. I also have friends that have sprint and hate it. It’s all about personal opinion, there is no true difference in companies, they are there for the exact same reason. To provide America with mobile access. So everybody just stop hating and stop comparing the iPhone with a product that isn’t even out yet.
I have not used Sprint but I have Verizon and I do not like its customer service. I don’t like its billing either. Unfortunately, I went with it because of the kids and have been stuck but my contract is expiring and I look forward to the Pre. Meanwhile, two of my kids have already left Verizon for the G1. I think the Pre will be a hit.
More negative cr-p from people wanting to have something to say. “suckitude”? gimme a break.
Sprint uses the same network as Verizon when you roam, so you get Sprints great network when it’s available, which is nearly everywhere, and Verizon’s network when Sprint is not there. And Sprint does not charge for roaming on most plans. So you DO get Verizon’s network for free. Caveat, data service: I don’t know if Sprint charges me for Roaming data service.
Btw, I’ve had no problem with Sprint’s customer service. And I’ve had Verizon and AT&T before too, so I have something to compare it to.
LOL NO they do not charge you for roaming for your data service if you are on a data plan. I use my data on Sprint more so then probably most Apple fanboys and it is second to none and far far cheaper!!
Sorry, but I don’t get what “multiple hardware and software issues” have to do with “drastically reducing its production orders”?
If one is ready to ship then they’re all ready to ship. And if there are problems then they need to not ship ANY until the darn thing is ready.
As is, it sounds to me like a deliberately leaked rationalization for cutting orders and as such ensuring an early sell-out.
Michael you don’t get it.Nothing leaked..KUMAR is a Lying Suckitude I-fanboy.
Just because you use the word “I-fanboy” you think you belong here. It’s people like you who are the scum of sites like these everywhere. Your simply a “Pre fanboy” who doesn’t even have the hardware to base his opinions on. Do us a favor- go outside and get a life
Pre will be a success, on what scale depends.
It could be big or it could be doing just OK.
iPhone is Big, G1 is just OK, Storm despite not so bad sales number is a failure.
The pre stands for premature death?
I’m getting REALLY sick of waiting for this thing to come out. The hype keeps growing and growing but I was excited as soon as I saw it and heard about it. Now I kind of just want to give up. The excitement is quickly growing to major frustration. May as well just stick with my Centro.
Palm’s biggest mistake is going up against Apple’s iPhone. That makes it an automatic FAIL. No handset can possibly compare to what is going to be the next iPhone. People may say they want the Palm now, but when the next iPhone goes on sale, that’s what the people will be buying.
By the time the Pre goes on sale, many of the big gaming companies will be dropping killer games on the iPhone and that should just about put the final nail in Palm’s coffin. The iPhone will have the gaming prowess of a PSP with an HD display and maybe even “N” wireless. Forget it. The Pre’s goose is cooked.
So by your logic all innovation should simply cease to exist because of the iPhone?
Yes, I’m quite certain games will be what runs Palm out of town. Oy!
WOW dude you are wrong the new Iphone can turn lead into gold, with it you wont even need to have a car because you can ride it to wherever you want to go and you won’t even need any fuel. They are going to cure world hunger with it also as it wil have an app that will greatly improve farms productivity. I am telling you all of these things are coming true because well I sawy so and I am an APPLE so I can not be wrong. FACE facts when the smoke clears only the ONE will survive and that is apple..oh wait but because I am such a good little goose stepper and love me some Obama the other ONE … We will keep around around RIMM so he can still have his Blackberry but only for him EVERYONE else will have to have the APPLE sign stamped on their foreheads and bow down to STEVE JOBS the main ONE and only LORD and SAVIOR besides OBO MAN. omg i just wet my pants salivating over the lovely new iphone that is coming oh wait sniff sniff i didn’t wet my pants and hmmm coming ? maybe that was me!!!
Who let the knuckle dragger in? The trail in the dust down this path of comments is evident.
All this time I’ve been quite pleased with Palm’s status because it was absent the often rabid fanatics that follow Apple around. If Palm becomes successful and creates its own network of adolescents whose IQs are in a tight race against their shoe size to cross the finish line I’m going to sell my new Pre and go back to Motorola.
LMAO relax dude. I was being like the APPLE TARDS but then again seeing your sarcastic comments you are no better acting then I was. Hypocrites geeze gotta love them!! Very witty knuckle dragger or is it very smarmy, someone thinks too highly of themselves I see. At least I have an excuse for being on at this time of night on meds. WTF are you doing up still posting along in here? You sure you are not an I-Fanatic? You definitely have the Superiority complex down pat. Iq against their shoe size lol I wonder how many times you have used that tired ass old line? LMAO what a zinger haha and here I was defending you ;p
maybe I dont exist, since i already switched to sprint in anticipation of the pre. I was with verizon for 12 years. I read the stuff from CES and was immediatly ready for this phone. I picked up a used 755 on craigs list for $40, ported my number to it on sprint and am ready and waiting for release with an upgrade credit ready to go. sprint horror stories were unfounded. i have no complaints whatsoever for coverage, service etc. heck i’m even saving 25 bucks a month on my plan. i’ll be standing inline on day 1.
WHATS SO GREAT ABOUT IPHONE? I HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS AND SENT IT BACK, AND CANCELED MY ATT SERVICE AND WENT BACK TO SPRINT. SPENT AN HOUR AND A HALF ON THE PHONE TRYING TO RETURN THE IPHONE TO ATT THEY SEEMED SOO INCOMPETENT, AND ONLY 15 MINUTES AT MOST WITH SPRINT GETTING MY SERVICE BACK ON, SPRINT CS IS SOO MUCH SUPERIOR COMPARED TO WHAT I EXPERIENCED WITH ATT FOR THE TWO WEEKS I’VE HAD THEM.
Nerds. Seriously.
Ashok Kumar appears to be a freaking moron.
The palm pre will fail! Palm is in too much of a hole.
The date has been moved from may to June 7th as there are loads of problems with it!
How do you know there’s problems with it?
OK I want to be a palm pre fan. But I finally found a SPRINT store that had 1(ONE) in stock but they said they could NOT sell it to me because I was not in their CSA (whatever that is) I have bought my only phone from that same store. So lets do a simple side by side comparision Apple I phone can I buy it YES, Palm Pre NO that is all I need to know. Why on earth are palm and sprint bothering to advertise these things? I see the ad I go to a store I say this awesome sign me up and they say no can do don’t have one. I know I only have college degree in advertising so maybe I missed something that day I skipped class.
